K5/TBSS
Hey guys... When we installed a water softener in our home, we also plumbed in 2 outside water spickets so we have soft water outside for washing cars... My question is, how much safer is it to let soft water dry on a car than hard water? Does it make a difference?
J Tegeler
from my few tiems using soft water, I have noticed I have a lot more time to dry the car before water spots set in. I still wasnt comfortable with letting it dry on the car but I had a ton more time to dry
Z71_Denali
there's hardly any calcium deposits left in the water after its been through a real water softening filter, so the water won't normally leave spots like hard water would. so any spotting will be minimal that a spray of waterless wash or detail spray will easily remove
