CMDChase
I have a 2004 Honda Pilot with 134,000 miles. Saturday, my wife was driving it for just about the whole morning (5 am to about noon) with no problem. When she got home, she parked it in the driveway. A few minutes later, she started it but there was no power steering, no power brakes and, although the transmission shifter worked, the gears would not engage. She shut the car off again for a minute or so, started it up and everything worked fine again. I drove it few times since then and have had no problems. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. crowvet
Odd symptoms, The power steering would indicate that the belt was not turning the pump... The no brakes would indicate no vacuum to the booster. The no gears with these other two symptoms would make me think the engine had actually died and was not running when she put it in gear??? Is that a possibility? ForceofWill
Agreed. Possible she tried to start it in drive and it didn't but she thought it did? Then started it later in park?
