Am I doing this backwards??

After completely detailing my car with the PC and the machine products, I routinely wax it with the buttery wax. I like the shine I get as well as enjoy waxing by hand. After waxing, I apply a coat of BSG.

 

My question is should the wax be applied before BSG or after? I read on the forum here somewhere that others were using the glaze first, followed by the wax.

What I'm doing come spring is FMP and MSW with the PC, then a coat of BSG.

Then a week or two later, I plan on a coat or two of BW. Planning to maintain the shine with BW and use the MSW every 6 months or so.

That's pretty much exactly my plan. The car sits in the garage all winter. I plan to fully detail it every fall before I park it. I keep it covered in the garage, so I just need a light detail and wax in the spring and I'm ready to go. Then I'll maintin throughout the summer with the BW.

That should work fine. I'd wait to hear from some of the detailing experts. They may have a better solution for you.

I'd say that the wax should go down first.....followed on by the BSG. Not so sure how well the wax would stick to the glaze.

I do similar. PC, with FMP & MSW then if time, I too enjoy applying the butter wax by hand, caressing her curves, getting into her tight places. Then at the show, or wherever, I'll do the BSG just for extra POP.
