Butchers 75QGF4 foam master or the Gilmour foam master?

So I would really like to buy a foam gun for the hose. I don't have a power washer and don't plan on it right now.

After reading the reviews for both the butcher and the Gilmour it looks like the butcher has it. Anyone have any experience with the Butcher vs the Gilmour.

I have the Butcher .. purchased it from Amazon 35.99

 

It was much cheaper than the Gilmour and does just as good as job as a Gilmour.  Brass hardware that is good quality.

I purchased the Gilmour 95QGFMR Foamaster II on Amazon back in May for $35.58, with Prime shipping as well.  I find it works and foams quite well and is perfect for removing dirt before the two bucket wash.

Honestly, the two foam guns look very similar.... same adjustable lever, same brass fittings.  I have the Gilmour as well and it performs fantastic.  Bare in mind that the soap will not "cling" to the paint like a pressure washer, but for a hose-attached unit I find it does a fantastic job giving extra lubrication to the paint surface prior to rubbing with the mitt. 

 

You can't really go wrong with either.  For under $40 I think it is a must-have addition to your washing routine.

i also looked at this before I bought the gilmour.  what sold me was the brass fittings on the gilmour and the foam adjusting ratio

 

FYI, if you throw an oz or 2 of waterless wash in with the shampoo, it clings a little better to the paint (I think!)

I beleve this is what Adam's sold before they started using Chinese parts (sorry cannot get to eBay behind the firewall to confirm).  I have one and it works fine.

I have the Gilmour 75QGFMR and it looks like pretty close with the same dilution rates. The butchers is made by Gilmour so I would get that one.

How much more product do you go through with 1 wash using the foam gun? I have been looking to get one as well but never used one before.

I'd say a few more oz's of shampoo and a few of WW if you add it.

Couple more oz`s than usual for me too. I like it heavy so I don't mind using more product to get the results

I've had my HydroFoamer for a good 7 years now and I'd use nothing else. It is a beast and still going strong.

I have one of that HydroFoamer, but it's blue. It works great!

 

I rarely use it because I use my MTM Foam Cannon most of the time with my gas pressure washer.

I just got my foam master in the mail. trying it once the rain goes away, I can post a video or picture if you like.

 

EDIT: I love my foam gun! I am not sure if it actually adds anything but it is fun. FOAM ALL THE THINGS
