Clay bar makes exhaust tips look brand new!

OmniCamaro

Question

This was just luck on my part!

I was claying my car today and when at the rear noticed, yet again, how terrible my exhaust tips were looking. I said what the heck and proceeded to use my Adam's Detail Spray and clay bar on them and WOW! I can't believe the results!

Tip: Use a small piece of clay because it'll be ruined afterwards!

Before and after pictures attached.

Thanks Adam's for the great products! Now I can rest easy knowing my exhaust tips aren't permanently nasty looking and/or damaged!

For what it's worth guys you can spray deep wheel cleaner on the tips as well and agitate a bit with a sponge after sitting for a few mins, it will take a ton of junk off the exhaust tips and be a bit easier than claying.

This works great, I've done this several times to mine. Deep wheel cleaner>clay>mp 1&2>quick sealant.

Good stuff Allen, thanks for posting here (and C5 as well!)  :)

You bet!

Now about sealing those bad boys.... I have no idea what to use or how to do it. I must remind/inform you that my tips get very hot.

In the adams line up the highest heat resistant sealant I believe is quick sealant. I use that on my exhaust tips, I tow and load up pretty regularly and it holds up fairly well.
