BRZN Posted July 15, 2014 Share Posted July 15, 2014 I worked the Chrysler Show at Carlisle, PA this past weekend for/with Adam and drove my 2007 Dodge Magnum in. The car is large enough to haul the crew in and out of the Fairgrounds as well as all the stuff we need each day. Sometime during the weekend someone took a shortcut between our tent and the Hotchkis Suspension group beside us at drug something across my right rear quarter panel. This afternoon I took the time to address this scratch. I first washed the panel with Adam's Waterless Wash; this scratch was deep, deep enough to catch with my fingernail. I started by wet sanding with 2000 grit, moved to 2500 grit and finished off with 3000 grit. After the scratch was removed I broke this combo out: A few minutes of work: And back to the way it was supposed to be! Notice the shaft of the cordless drill backing plate is above the sharp body line? I don't want to spend any time on that sharp edge or risk removing too much, or all the clear. Success, Love it!
