papaloo
I'm Dave! I just purchased a new Chevy SS. It's the first vehicle I've owned that has been worth really learning how to wash and detail. After many hours of watching videos and reading about how to properly clean a car, I spent way more than I should on Adams products. I'll practice on my '03 GMC Sonoma then my wife's 2013 Outback before touching the SS. Thorsager

Rich
Welcome from Johnstown Dave. If you're in the area, there will be a detail clinic in Blairsville/New Alexandria Pa on April 25th at Grabiak Chevrolet on Rte. 22. Adam Pitale (owner and founder of Adam's polishes) will be there to demonstrate his techniques and answer questions and give tips. It's a great show, free food and give aways, and of course, expert advice. Lots of guys are staying in local hotels. We get guys from Ohio, West Virginia, and other places. There's a link in the Events forum. Very nice SS!! That's the first one I've seen that isn't black! Great color. Of course, the Vette in the background got my attention too! papaloo
Welcome! Love the SS!! Thanks! I love your 67 C10. I have a 72 C10 LWB that I really hope to have the time to restore one of these years. Very nice SS!! That's the first one I've seen that isn't black! Great color. Of course, the Vette in the background got my attention too! My brother teased me for getting the SS rather than the Vette that was in the background. I wanted a car with rear wheel drive, a manual transmission, a big engine and a trunk capable of holding luggage and my work toolbox. That left me with pretty much just the SS. I also like having a color that's more fun. My wife and I figured we couldn't go wrong with a color named "perfect blue metallic" Headed to any of the Carlisle Events this year? I live in a small town called alum bank.lol About 15 minutes away from Bedford. I'm hoping to go to spring carlisle on Saturday the 25th, if the weather is nice. I kept teasing my wife last year that I was going to go and buy yet another derelict old car to keep my truck company. now that we have the new car, I'm not allowed to do that anymore. I also promised to take her hiking every weekend as marital payment for the SS. Hopefully, I can convince her that walking carlisle counts as hiking! I'm not even going to tell you how much trunk space is in the Corvette. You can hide a couple of bodies in there! I haul a 10X10 pop up canopy, two chairs, two suitcases, my detailing supplies, a cooler, a folding table, and a rain screen in the trunk when we go to Corvettes at Carlisle. So your trunk argument goes out the window! As for Carlisle, sign up for GM in June. I'll be there again. And yes, it sure in the heck does count as hiking!! MILES to hike there. And you can "take her out to dinner" there too! And go shopping!

My wife really wanted me to get a convertible. The Miata trunk was 2" too small to hold my tool box and the Camaro trunk somehow managed to be less usable then the miata's. People kept telling me I should have gotten a miata and just put my toolbox on the passenger seat. I point out that works fine until I go around a right turn and find myself in neutral and holding my 60lb toolbox on my lap. Rich
