paint chips............

MySierra

Question

Don't know if this is the right place for this- but I have some areas on the hood of the truck that have been nailed by gravel and need to be touched up. I remember reading, I think it was here a product applied in addition to a drop of touch up paint; it's clear and it blends everything flawlessly. Does anyone know of this product..............

  TIA

I'd be curious to see how it works out, if you care to share pics later on. DR Colorchip is the other option I've seen.

You apply a "blob" of touchup paint to the area to the point where the touchup paint is higher than the normal paint. Let it dry for about 4-12 hours. Then go over it with a flat plastic card wrapped in a cloth with the Blob Eliminator and it will smooth it down to the same surface height as the paint. If done right, its nearly perfect.

I would also recommend a prep pen. See link bellow. They are great for cleaning and prepping the surface before your touch up paint.

Agree. Order your touchup paint first. The touchup paint that came with my 2016 Colorado had a prep pen on the bottle/tube.
