dnull
Looking for some for some suggestions on what to use on my dash, I bought my car with a hideous "monster" tach and they used 3m tape to adhere it to the dash. Now that the tach is gone I need to remove the remaining tape adhesive.
0 Odds and Ends
Try a citrus based product first....think Goo Gone or something similar. It may take longer, but will ultimately be safer. Many of the "good" adhesive removers might cause discoloration of the vinyl. - Darryl
0 James__
This is what I used to remove the adhesive left behind on my paint when debadging my truck. Very effective at removing the adhesive with minimal residue and no damage.

0 sahls01gmc
Use the least abrasive as possible first! Try WD-

0 Kingsford
3M Adhesive remover... I was skeptical because of the price at first but a little goes a long ways and it blew Goo Gone away. Edit: See my post below. 0 sahls01gmc
Biggest thing is be patient! Let it soak in for a while and be gentle. Too much pressure and you might pull the vinyl from the dashboard.

I was skeptical because of the price at first but a little goes a long ways and it blew Goo Gone away. This is what I use.If it's a painted dash you may rub through the paint if you rub too hard. 0 Bill-V8V
I use the 3M stuff on paint but that stuff is really strong, I'm not sure i'd use it on a dash. But i'm not a professional so take my 2 cents with a grain of salt.
0 Kingsford
I missed the part about it being on the Dash. I assumed it was on paint. Try Goo Gone. It's going to take a lot of time though with the 3M tape.
0 cchrider
I am also going to agree with goo gone. I have used it many times and always had great results.
