Clay before VRT on trim?

Strip wash, dress trim, then clay, etc. Yes, the clay could leave a residue if you don't..and it still will, probably, but at least it you dress it first it'll be A LOT easier to remove. You can always go back and touch up with VRT at the end just to finish the job, too.

Assuming you mean it has already been dressed with VRT, all you should need is a MF towel to simply wipe it off. I'm sure others may have a recommendation about which one, but I would guess just about any would be ok. It'll come off pretty easily.
