  2. I have a bottle of the 16oz Paint Sealant that has been used one time. As many know, a little goes a long way so its hard to even tell the bottle is used. I am looking to trade for interior cleaning/dressing liquids. Shipping within continental US.
  3. Do you have any particular products you recommend? I believe when I went to auto body school that my teacher talked about some sort of polish with diamonds in it for glass scratches. I certainly don't want to distort my glass however. Knowing Safelite, they won't help much. I don't think these are from my wipers. They are in random directions as oppose to following the path my wipers go.
  4. Hey everyone, around 6-8 months ago we had our windshield replaced by safelite with an aftermarket piece. Since then, tons of fine scratches have shown up on the windshield. It is almost as if this glass is "softer" than our oem glass. I cannot feel the scratches with my fingernail but I can see them constantly while driving since they reflect light. They are on the outside of the windshield and range from 1"-4" long. I am not really interested in spend another $300-$400 on a new windshield so what options do I have? One thought I had was maybe the same sort of windshield repair epoxy they use for chips and somehow lay a flat coat into the scratches. I'm also wondering if a glass sealant or anything along those lines will make the scratches less visible or reflective. Maybe that would fill it slightly. From what I have read online, polishing it most likely won't work. I did run over the glass with my DA and a foam pad but it just made it look more clean.
  5. Hey Gary, I don't frequent any of the meets but I do enjoy the espressos and exotics. Find the dates/times here: https://www.facebook.com/eecarshow/?fref=ts There is also a car meet that happens at the In-N-Out on Sahara and 15. I only went to that one once about 4 years ago. It was mainly Mazdas and Honda's as I remember. Lastly, at The Mandarin Oriental, they do a luxury car show hosted by a fellow Realtor. If you are not familiar with it, it is a luxury condo/hotel in City Center. I am unsure how often it happens.
  6. Are you asking if you need to use a clay bar for your trim? If so, just use VRT.

  10. Hey Chris, just saw this. Send me a PM to discuss.
  11. With my girlfriend being in nursing school, we have talked about nutrition at great length. The main thing to think about is moderation and variety. I did a 50lb weight loss last year while eating as much as I wanted. I just basically limited my carb intake to next to 0 and ate plenty of vegetables and meat. I try to skip red meat as much as possible, due to the negative health that can be related to it. Once again, I do eat it in moderation. I also made sure I ate as many healthy fats as possible. Instead of eating sweets, I substituted fruits. As most of us know, Americans eat far too much sugar in a day. Exercise is important and I make it mandatory to get my heart pumping for 30 minutes a day. That is usually running the track or some other cardio at the gym. As far as the price reference, I shop my local farmers market or I go to a chain of stores called "Sprouts" that is basically a cheaper Whole Foods. I find my normal meal cost to be between $4-$6 per person. Typically that is much cheaper than eating out.
  12. Everything is still available!
  13. I have the worst time on either side of the windshield. Not limited to extreme linting after multiple washes. I've resorted to single soft towels as a final pass.
  14. So I went back at it and got pretty good results. I went with a speed 5 and applied more pressure. I also worked the polish much longer. the scratches that remain almost look like they are floating on water or something. They don't look like they are on the surface. With that being said, I think I misjudged my paint and it is actually softer than I expected. I was trying to see if my thumbnail could get caught on scratches and I noticed just the pressure of my thumbnail left scratches. I would assume that is a good indicator of soft paint correct?
  15. Do you have an OEM windshield or has it been replaced. We had ours replaced about 3 months ago and this windshield is garbage compared to OEM. Our windshield was a generic from Safelite. It somehow seems very soft and is covered with rock pecks and scratches. Some scratches are about 4 inches long and nothing harsh has ever touched the windshield that could do something like that to my knowledge.
  16. There is certainly enough clearance between the panels so I don't think it would be rubbing. It does however look like a rubbing mark as oppose to a razor blade or something sharp gouging it. Is there also paint damage below the weather stripping? In your 1st and 2nd photo, it looks like there is paint missing lower as well. To my eye, without feeling it, it is a rubbing motion or a very high grit sanding. With your Porter Cable, I don't imagine you could have done that to the edge without a lot of misuse.
  17. New items have been added! I prefer to trade 2+ items since shipping can be killer.
  18. I believe the foam is of even density. I cleaned all of my pads out today and didn't notice anything abnormal.
