  1. I just started a thread on this a week or so ago. One person mentioned a pet hair stone which I guess is similar to a pumice stone. Another user mentioned a certain attachment that you sweep side to side with your shop vac. I have found the second option to work best.
  2. Tire and Rubber Cleaner has been traded to Wild2003ss Tire Shine has been traded to Jakerodz7
  3. I commented on it and I messaged him. Haven't heard back yet.
  4. Hey everyone, Like the title states, I'm looking for a used polisher. I hope to use it only 2-3 times a year so I don't want to pay full retail quite yet. I'm thinking maybe someone on here grew out of their Porter Cable setup. Shipping to 89135
  5. Thats exactly what I am thinking. Thanks for the response!
  6. Hey everyone, Living in Vegas, our cars are constantly covered in fine sand or dust almost immediately after washing. I am wondering what is the best/most efficient way of cleaning this off. I'm thinking either waterless wash, or a water rinse with detail spray used to dry, also maybe a foam cannon with a normal rinse afterwards and then drying with detail spray and an MF. I know you want to touch your finish as little as possible. What kind of got me thinking is the thread from earlier where someone mentioned other foam cannons are advertised as no-touch washing. I used to always use detail spray and an MF towel to remove the dust but I'm wondering if I can do something to cause less damage.
  7. I would also assume that the shampoo is fine. Here is an Adam's video for cleaning vinyl:

  9. Shane welcome to forum! I was just like you, it took me about a month to pull the trigger on a detailing company because I researched for so long. Once you get your hands on some products, you won't want anything else. I started off slow by ordering a mystery box. In hindsight, I would go straight for one of their kits. Specifically the winter washing kit.
  10. Hey everyone, I have some brand new bottles of product that I won't be using anytime soon as well as a couple of towels. I have the following: 32oz Guard and Gloss 1 Double Soft Towel Detail Spray Waterless Under Carriage Spray All Purpose Cleaner Here are some things I am looking for: Leather Conditioner Lug Nut Brush Wheel Woolie Pumpkin Spice Detail Spray Wash Mitt/Wash Wedge Also interested in waxes (Americana wax would be ideal) I can add paypal for the right trade. (If you have something else, just PM me.)
  11. I agree with this^^ I would personally never use all-purpose cleaner on any seats unless it was a tough stain or something. Even then, I would dilute it a lot.
  12. I'll admit I don't have any of the microfiber revitalizer that Adam's sells, I did wash normally however. Mine are also streaky when using them. It's very oily looking as well.
  13. Same here on our recent new car purchase. Some companies only cover the bare minimum while transporting them, they become caked with stuff and the "detail" from a dealership is all about quantity.
  14. Wow, I used 3 sprays per fender and probably a half dozen on the hood. No wonder my towel got so loaded. I didn't watch the video before doing it but I remember how it was mentioned that the water sheds off the car wil spraying it. I was mainly watching that happen instead of coverage.
  15. There are a number of ways to go. I would recommend claying and then liquid paint sealant. Buttery wax does not provide much protection, you could apply it on top of LPS however.
  16. Great looking car! I wasn't even aware they made these. I had only know about the CTS-V and the ATS.
  17. Nice arsenal of products you have there! I love the Focus ST's! That color is crazy on it, I've never seen that color before.
  18. I think I certainly used too much based on the comments. I used nearly half a bottle for a 4 series BMW. I ran out of sunlight so I was finishing up in the dark. It was more of an experiment than anything since I hadn't had a chance to use it before. From now on I will certainly spray less and then spread it with my wet towel.
  19. Time to go get it dirty again!
