0 Odds and Ends
Not sure why you would want put a coating on clear film. The newer films are "self healing" and have a bit of "give" or "flexibility". A ceramic coating is just the opposite. It's designed to be a hard protective layer. So no, do not apply a coating to clear film. Edited December 1, 2016 by Odds and Ends

Actually a lot of the other brands you can install the coatings on top of the ppf. Several of the detailers in my city do it all the time. Only film that it wont work for is Nano Fusion ppf its already coated from the factory...
0 shane@detailedreflections
I have a friend who had how while car wrapped in clear film. And then they put ceramic right over it. That car is easy to clean and shines for days.

Films are very expensive to begin with, so a coating is a great option to ensure you get the maximum life out of your clearbra/film.
0 Nick@DreamMakers
We ceramic coat over almost every PPF install we do. Adds another level of glosiness and makes the film release road debris/bugs/crud much easier than bare PPF, which is inherently a little "sticky." 0 Helldog
Thanks for the info, looks like ill do the clear and then coating for the great shine
0 Sizzle Chest
Yes. Absolutely. Coat away. It will give your PPF much more 'protection', hydrophobic properties as well as assist with the maintenance/cleaning of the PPF. It will also give it a boost in shine! Let us know how you make out! 0 bjoeaull
In addition to this, I have a question while we are on the topic. I plan to have a clear bra installed soon. Should I put the ceramic coating on the front end or do the coating on the whole car after the bra is put on? Thoughts?

Most cases the ppf will not stick to the coating. bjoeaull
