Ls1transam Posted September 9, 2019 Share Posted September 9, 2019 Today I did a wash, decon and polish on this new Ecosport. Used Adams new formula of the Ceramic spray. It was super easy to use. I let it sit for about 60-75 seconds. At around the 2 minute mark it seemed to get tacky and I had trouble wiping it off the surface. So I dialed it back some and it was effortless to wipe off at the 60-75sec mark. And at that time frame the rainbowing was started to go away so I knew it was ready at that point to be removed. If it lasts a full 5-6 months I’ll be impressed. I bought 4oz and I’m guessing you could probably do 3-4 normal size cars with that amount. After polishing the vehicle was really glossy. It’s new so the paint wasn’t in bad shape. I’m not use to working on new vehicles. It was so easy to decontaminate. After applying and removing the coating. The longer it sat, it seemed to get glossier and glossier. I was like, what is going on here?! Guessing the SIO2 curing was making it look better 🤷🏻♂️?? Here’s a few pics. I’m terrible at just explaining things so if you have any questions about the process I’ll be happy to answer. I am annoyed I paid for 3 day shipping and it took 10 days to get to me. Oh well lol. The shots with the rainbow effect came out good and that should help other understand what the rainbow effect should look like. Thank you for posting the pictures. I always get cars/trucks that are 10+ years old and never been detailed before lol. I don’t do a lot of detailing now with my new job. But I still take on small stuff like this.
