Bill-V8V
I have been telling a friend that once I got some time off work I would detail his truck. I knew this wouldn't be an easy one but I like a challenge. I won't bore everyone with the details of how I did this, if you have watched Adam's and AJ's video you know all the steps  This is a 1998 Chevy CC20902, I have no idea what that stand for but this was a goverment vehicle at some point. It only has 40,000 miles on it but hasn't been washed in years :help: This is what it showed up looking like: So I took a handful of Motrin and went to work, I was not attempting to get anywhere near 100% correction as I only had the truck for the day and there just isn't a need as it is a work truck. But I figured I would make it look presentable. I forgot to take the after pictures of the interior so I won't bother posting the before pictures of that. So after a good spray of GWC and a little agitation with the wheel well brush I gave the engine bay a good spray down of In and Out spray. I did the wheels up next but there is so much paint missing it wasn't worth documenting. But needless to say the GWC got all the dirt off easily !!! So I pulled it into the garage after foaming three times and washing twice, I actually threw the wash pad away after I was done. There was noo way I would ever let that near paint again  I also killed two clay bars just getting it to a reasonable state for polishing. As the truck is white I played around with the contrast and brightness so you could get a good look at the swirls in this paint  I was a little surprised how well this paint polished out. I wasn't expecting to get this type of correction. After that I followed up with two thin coats of Americana, I love that stuff !!!!! I was losing light by the time I was done but here are the results : Not how I wanted to spend my vacation but he is also my plumber and comes over whenever I need just about anything fixed so I really owe him, we are even now :thumbsup:

GerryC
Good thing it was only half a truck otherwise you probably wouldn't have had enough daylight to take those after pictures The engine looks brand spanking new
Bill-V8V
If it had a bed I would have ended up spending my whole vacation on it :help:
Adam
Wow Bill! You are on heck of a detailer, and man, where do you find the time with a little one at home, and 75 hrs/ week at work?? You are amazing Brother Bill!!
Bill-V8V
The only reason I had time is because I am on vacation, so I did this while the puppy was napping. Every time he would wake up I would feed him, take him out in the yard for a few minutes then put him back in his crate, he likes to sleep for a few hours after eating anyways :D:D He's growing faster than the weeds in my backyard :lolsmack: Not sure why but he likes this tree, I think he is planning on being bigger than it :help:

Your dog is totally cool with his shriner hat. He is so cute. When he came to pick the truck up he was just standing there looking at it, he really didn't know what to say, But now I think he is going to expect it to stay like that for another 5 years The hat should be off in a few days, I don't think he will miss it

Superdutytd
Actually I did spot treat it with GWC :2thumbs: I might have seriously washed it with GWC because there was a LOT of crap (literally and figuratively!). I don't think it would hurt the paint would it?
Bill-V8V
Just dilute it and don't it sit too long, or in the sun, but on this it really couldn't have hurt it
