If they are you can treat them just like paint :2thumbs:

Just use a MF applicator with some SHR or FMP and see what you can get off :hi:

think so? ive tried using chrome polishes from other brands and they didnt seem to help at all?

Well if they were they probably arn't anymore after using chrome polish on them. Lets see what some of the Detailing Advisers have to say.

But I would think since you have already tried those products go ahead and try some SHR on a small spot and see what happens

The lighting isn't too spectacular, but it looks like you have some serious pitting going on there. Seeing that they're forged wheels, there's not going to be too much you can do for it other than to take it to a rim repair specialist. Adam's products will clean it up a bit, but the pitting needs to be fully addressed before it starts cracking and peeling.

Agreed... not much any product is going to be able to do for the pitting.

I highly doubt those are clear coated, to address the scratches you might try Adams Metal Polish and a mothers powercone.

Speaking of which, Adam:

When the hell are you gonna come out with something like the powerball or powercone to add to the line? I think it'd make a great addition to the catalog.

There was one in the works, but it had shedding issues. I think that one got scrapped.

Those look like mine used to and it seems that the clearcoat is damaged. I took mine to a wheel refinisher and just had them redone without the clear. Now the outer rim is just polished aluminum. As far as the outer rim, they basically just sanded the clearcoat off and smoothed it out. Nothing I couldn't have done myself but less work for the pros who have the right tools and experience.

I don't have any before photos but if I did, the damage would look pretty much the same as yours. Here are some photos after the refinishing. I took these after I polished a small section to show the difference made by the polish I was using.

im aware i wont be able to do much about the physical pitting of the chrome. i just want the shine from the chrome back! it looks like a dull polished wheel from all the scratches!

Well hell, if that is all you want to do, get some of the Adam's Chrome Polish, the new focal pads and a drill and go at it! They'll shine up big time but you'll forever be repeating that ritual often to keep them looking good.

Ok, so they actually are Chrome. That would explain why SHR had no affect

I doubt they will do much for you from a warranty point of view as they will say you damaged them mudding. I hope I am wrong :xfingers::xfingers::xfingers:
