b8a4 Posted June 17, 2009 Share Posted June 17, 2009 I haven't really been out in a while but I caught this beauty a few years back in Chiscago Lake, about 50 miles from Minneapolis, MN. I was using a soft plastic worm, casting toward the shore, slowly tipping the rod up, reeling in, and letting the lure fall down every few feet. I got a mean strike and thought I set the hook.. As I reeled in to recast and about 10 yards from the boat when it just jumped out the water and the fight was on, I released a little slack and 10 mins later my buddy helped me net this beauty.. Just over 22 inches and around 6.5 lbs, I was going to get it mounted, but i forgot about it and left it in the freezer too long.. oh well at least i have pictures. Baby Sister was a little shy... Hey Shane, by looking at that picture... it took me absolutely no seconds to figure out which one of those guys were named "Shane"! I went deep sea fishing once. I caught a freaking shark.
