Hi Bernie-

Thanks for looking at us as an option for a backing plate! We have a plate and pad system that work together, and were specifically made to keep the pads on the machine, and centered perfectly.

The pads are 7.5", but the plate is made to fit inside a ring, which is attached to all of our pads. That ring keeps the felt backing from separating, and the pad from wobbling on the backing plate.

Thanks again for a shot at your business!:2thumbs:

Why are they called "absorber" plates? What do they absorb? Shock (i.e. vibration)?

Esteban, you got it, exactly! The absorber backing plat absorbs vibration, and also gives enough to get the pad to 'give' into creases, curves, and hard to reach areas.

Thanks Esteban!
