Superdutytd
Well this one is a doozy for sure! Removed the subwoofer and the stock carpets underneath it, doesn't look too bad underneath. Rear seats are removal All the junk, I also took off the neoprene seat covers and washed them in the washing machine. More pics to soon follow! Superdutytd
Heres some during pictures and pictures of the damage, hold onto your socks Yes that says 13 horsepower on the side of it, no I did not use it at 3600 psi. GWC after being agitated Looks nice and shiney but what hides beneath is scary. Clay after one panel, actually not bad at all. One last picture to give you nightmares What proper paint should look like under a camera's flash Edited August 2, 2009 by Superdutytd

bigred vette
Typical off roading scratches. That's what brushing up against trees and their branches will do to your paint.:willy: Good luck with that! Can't wait to see the after pics.
Superdutytd
Whats weird is that the scratches from the trees don't catch with my fingernail so even though they look bad they actually aren't that deep I guess? Just like a really wide swirl I suppose

Superdutytd
darn! post up i wanna see some magic! if u can fix that with SHR you are god. I really do feel I could if I needed to but it would take quite a long time. I am using a compound followed by FMP.

The majority of that damage is easy work if you know what your doing. I've fixed worse with FMP

Oh and I found sound places that were pretty gritty with the clay, behind the tires was bad. Edited August 3, 2009 by Superdutytd

Bill-V8V
Now bill how long would it take you to fix this with FMP? I'm not challenging you just asking... Depends on how many breaks I take :D I work real real slow Don't take my response the wrong way, obviously a compound will work it faster than a polish but it is more than doable

Superdutytd
For the pics everyone has been waiting for 50/50 compounded/not compounded, notice the haze leftover from using a compound with an orange pad. Another picture of the haze A husky toolbox I found in the truck, VRT at its best Another picture showing the haze after the compound FMP/White pad > Haze Wheels and tires after 2 coats of 1:1 water/vrt (I used a mix because the lugs were so big the normal vrt wouldn't squish out of the sponge and go between the lugs. Shine after finishing, all trim received 4 coats of VRT (it was that bad) Close up of the door polished and the fender not. Don't mind the spot of MSW that I missed while wiping off. There is what I started out with^^ now it looks like this Thanks for looking! The total process was... Powerwash exterior Wash wheels with GWC Wash with dawn/NR (extra lube) Clay with Adam's blue clay 2-3 passes Compounding with Orange pad/M105 @ Levels 4-5.6 1 pass with White/FMP (totally breaking down polish) @ Level 3.5 1 pass Black/MSW @ level 2.5 All interior seat covers were washed Carpets vaccuumed Interior wipe down Jams wiped down w/ DS Tires/Trim given 3-4 passes with 1:1 VRT/Water Engine/underside of hood was sprayed down with GWC then agitated with fender brush then rinsed. Thanks for looking! Edited August 3, 2009 by Superdutytd
