tjcin
Is there anything wrong with leaving your Adam's products on the shelf in the garage for winter? My garage is not heated and it does occasionally freeze out there. Will this affect their shelf life? Thanks
0 BrianT
Not a good idea. They don't like it HOT and they don't like it COLD! Bring the babies inside.
0 Bill-V8V
I brought mine in yesterday :(
0 Chewy
I leave mine in the basement all year long. They're to expensive to take the chance of ruining them.
0 bigred vette
If it gets below 40* yes it will affect the shelf life. Why take the risk of ruining perfectly good product by leaving it out?
0 694doorbird
Since I really don't have a place to keep in the house, what about the closet with the water heater. That closet is in the garage. Temps here in Oklahoma can get down to the 0 to 10 below mark sometimes. My garage also isn't heated.
0 Chris@Adams
If you can heat your garage it was the best thing I ever did!
0 70'sChevyGirl
My Adam's products are safely tucked inside my warm home for the winter.
0 Adam
First, what excellent responses here, all accurate! Second, anything in a bottle that freezes, typically expands. Bottles don't expand as easily as liquids. Also, any car care products, outside of Car Wash Shampoo, are heated and/or cooled when mixed. Temps above 85 and below 40 will make products separate, and work less effectively. Here's what happens when a product of ours freezes: The bottle expands, and the bottom of the bottle 'pops' out, and is separated completely from the bottle. The ice cube, once product, will stay frozen, then, when it thaws, it slowly becomes one-with-the-shelf. Don't let it happen friends, put your goods in the basement, in the wash room, anywhere that is temperature controlled! Did I over-expand here? Sorry. 0 DieselDude
I agree with everyone above. The products do not like the extreme cold or heat. I have moved mine to the basement where it will stay around 60 - 65 degrees this winter.
0 Chewy
Heck I have received damaged product from Adams and all we can guess is that it froze on the way to me because both times we were there to bring it in to the house. It doesn't like to be frozen... It doesn't just go back to the way it was... Chris
0 tjcin
Wow, I didn't think I would have this many responses so quickly. The verdict is "Bring them in the house!" Thanks for the info everybody.
0 jjwvette
In the house as of last Friday...
0 Nitelord
Having lost many products last winter (during shipping), I've kept them in the house year round. I don't leave them in the garage even during the summer. I figure, better safe than sorry. Keep them in the house.
