Junkman Rescues a Brilliant Black Charger!

Junkman2008

Question

The Specimen...

As for the car in question, here's the deal. Someone had scratched this car from the front fender all the way to the back of the rear door. The scratch was relatively deep. To make matters worse, they use blobs of touch-up paint to attempt to fix the scratch. After seeing how much worse the touch-up paint looked, they attempted to wipe the touch up paint off the car. That did nothing but smear the paint everywhere. The final dagger was when they parked the car with the paint still wet in what appeared to be a sand storm. Here's what the car looked like after I finally noticed it (I didn't notice this when I picked up the car because it was overcast).

A small bit of advice - good guys wear white! :)

Johnny Cash told me different. ;)

Actually, those are special shirts that Adam gave me. You don't sweat at all and they are much cooler than a white T-shirt. The sweats are the super breathable ones that I got from Dicks Sporting Goods. They cost a lot more but as you can see, the hot sun doesn't bother me at all.

Yea I admit I have one of those bags too....but I also have an Adams bag....

AJ, can you give us an idea how long that save took? I HAVE to attend one of these seminars to get my technique down.

Me thinks it was a rental. The guys probably saw the Junkman coming with his Adam's bag and quickly handed him the keys to the worst car on the lot in hopes........

:pc:

It was a rental. They gave me $100 off the $145 rental price when I gave it back!

I can't really say on the time because I was constantly talking to the crowd and answering questions. By 6:00 PM, it was done and I probably started on it around 1:00 PM.

I sat there most of the day and watched AJ do his magic on this car, and asked alot of questions. It would have took him about 2 1/2 hours if he had not stopped and talked to people and answered question, or let the little boy use the PC and stuff like that. It is alot different doing it in front of people, stopping to answer questions etc than being at home doing it, Just my opinion though.

For example the first time I did this it took me 2 hours to clay, and SHR one fender on my truck, LOL, I know just learning. I can say that I did learn alot from AJ and if you ever have a chance to see a clinic in person, it is well worth the time.

I see your master plan for free rental cars.
