Cammer 427
Is there any use in using revive polish after Fine Machine Polish? I forgot to use it after the Swirl and Haze Remover. I was wondering if it would add depth after FMP or does the FMP do that. I'm getting ready for "Ford Carlisle Show" coming up this weekend. Thanks for any info Phil in Pa
Adam
Hi Phil, just go for the FMP! The Revive isn't as 'robust' as the Fine Machine Polish. Follow it with the Americana, or Machine SuperWax instead! Make sure to come by and see Junkman and the gang at our booth, on the Manufacturer's midway! If you would like us to do a demonstration for you on YOUR car, just drive to our booth! Look for the 25' Detail Spray bottle, you won't miss us! Cheers, Adam;)
694doorbird
To add to Phil's question, Would I get more depth to a shine if I put on 2 coats of the RP? I don't have the FMP, as everything here is done the labor intensive way -- by hand. I'm mainly thinking about my Thunderbird which is still wearing it's 41 year old paint. Team Adam's
FMP will do the job so if you want to keep it basic then go for that, if you want to spend a little extra time rubbing on your car then a hand application of Revive certainly isn't gonna hurt anything and it will enhance the gloss a tad IMO. Is it necessary? No... but you can certainly do it.
Cammer 427
Thanks Adam for your input. This was the 1st time I've gone to this level of detail. even with 20k miles on the car now, it actually looks way better than brand new. I was always a little apprehensive about using the PC on my new car. After watching the Junkman videos and hearing you cant hurt the clearcoat with a PC, it gave me a bit more confidence and I'm glad I did. The results are so GREAT that I just walk around the car in amazement. Thanks After seeing 694doorbirds question it made me wonder if 2 coats of Revive Polish will be twice as good as 1 or do you get the max affect with the 1st application? JerseyGator, I will only be able to be there on Saturday but maybe I will get a chance to say Hello at some point.
