TR6speed
I love the BSG, but it is really only for POP as mentioned. It does not offer any protection, so don't think that if you apply it weekly you are protecting the paint. For that you need one of Adam's fine waxes, Buttery Wax, Machine Super Wax or Americana.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p> As for the time to apply and remove, I agree that the Americana goes on and comes off faster than the BSG, at least in the humidity here in west central Florida. I normally need to give the BSG between 15-30 minutes to set up. Were as with Americana I remove almost as soon as I apply it. <o:p></o:p>

Goatman06
Im not really to sure what i feel about the BSG. Time it takes to apply let dry and wipe off i can cover my whole car in americana, The slickness, i could barely feel a difference?

Time it takes to apply let dry and wipe off i can cover my whole car in americana, The slickness, i could barely feel a difference? BSG surely doesn't have the durability that Americana does. BSG is really just a final POP adder. How long does Americana take to haze up? BSG hazes pretty fast if it is laid on thin. By the time I finish applying, its ready to be buffed. OK...thats what I was wondering...so Americana hazes up just as quick. BSG is more of a "between wax" product...

Doug123
I dunno, I think BSG is good for a quick no wax sparkle fix out in the direct sun. I put some on last weekend and am going to soon 'PC' the vehicle, so don't want extra coat of wax that I will have to remove (americana is already on there). BSG really makes the black paint look extra reflective- the highlights with BSG are tremendous.
livingwater
no such thing as overkill As always...your vehicles shine like glass reflections However, too much Detail Spray over time will start to build up and leave a haze
Foxxer
*drools* It gives you that hazy, matte color, but then, it looks like it just had it clear coat sprayed.
JerseyGator
However, too much Detail Spray over time will start to build up and leave a haze This is a Fact. The waterless wash basically cleans the surface without really adding to the shine. The detail spray also cleans by removing very light dust, bug guts, etc. but it adds to the depth of the shine AJ refers to WW as providing a "luster" to the car without getting depth of shine. Waterless wash does a great job I'm with you. I LOVE the color of your car. Nice video.
JerseyGator
How long does Americana take to haze up? You do NOT have to wait for Americana to haze up at all. Wipe on, wipe off immediately. No benefits from waiting to haze.

Ah....ya learn something new every day...am I correct in recalling that you need to give Americana time between coats (like 12 hours?)...or is that MSW? JerseyGator
MSW only. You can apply Americana on top of Americana on top of Americana till you use up your tub! Some folks say a tub should last 2 years mine is 3/4 gone in less than a year! I absolutely LOVE the stuff. I use it as a weekly therapy. Adam would tell you use it till you need more! On a side note. I'm JerseyGator cuz I'm from Orlando. Went to U of F. Where are you in O'ville? I'm there often on business or seeing my parents. livingwater
Dunno really...I hardly use my WW at all, but it does a great job for that final clean up, removing a few stray bugs, etc. I use DS so much for everything else that I figure why use it for one more thing? Plus the car is always prepped with BSG the night before, AFTER a coat of BW. Maybe next show I'll try the DS as my final prep and see if there is a noticeable difference. Or maybe just go right over the insane overkill cliff and do WW, followed by DS. The waterless wash basically cleans the surface without really adding to the shine. XQIZT
no such thing as overkill True...just wondering if there is one way that is noticeably better at this point. BW and BSG at home Then there seem to be 3 options for the on site prep: 1) Cali duster and WW 2) Cali duster and DS 3) Cali duster, WW, then DS Keep in mind that even at 9:00am at these shows, the surface can get hot to the touch, so I want to avoid any possible hazing/streaking. Even spraying the product a towel and wiping it doesn't guarantee that the product won't dry too quickly.

Chewy
Why do you choose to use WW over DS? Yeah DS would get my nod for even more depth. If it's at all dusty then WW followed by DS. Chris

XQIZT
Gorgeous...BSG really just adds that extra POP that makes it stand out. I love it as a final prep before a show. Then all I need to do it touch it up onsite with WW. I only have one problem...its hard to not touch the paint and feel how slick it is once its done. whiterp199
****! That looks awesome. Just got my BSG but can't use it yet (fathers day present). I was wondering if it has cleaning properties or does it just sit on top of whatever wax is already layered on the car. Wouldn't want to remove any previous hard work. It just goes over the wax. It will not take the wax off. Think of BSG as a quick way to add some shine, but it will not last as long as a coat of wax. I usually put BSG on before car shows when I cannot do a full detail. Looks good Ron.
Rich
Looking real good! BSG has always been one of my favorite products. At least you get to drive your Vette. Mine hasn't been out of the garage since May 5th because it won't quit raining! Tornado warnings today! Maybe tomorrow. Beautiful Vette!
