little APC, powerstick, and MP nice exhaust tips

So since I got my car way back in 2006 I've neglected the inside of the exhaust tip. For the first two years I had the stock GM tune which is pig rich, then finally I tuned it myself to get rid of the richness. Needless to say the inside of the tip was pretty black. Still it took me a good two years to decide to actually clean it. lol I think I waited to long but here are before and afters.

 

 

 

 

 

The inside I think was a little too far gone to bring it back all the way, but it looks way better then before

They'll turn black with a tune too... Mine's tuned and they turned black. I like them black on the inside.

Looks good. Once you get them clean, it is not to hard to keep them looking good. I always have a small bucket of soapy water just for the exhaust when I wash the cars. After they are dry, I will hit them with Adam's Metal Polish.

THey look good. A very fine steel wool can be used on the inside to get somemore of the carbon deposits off.

This is why my mufflers are black and my exhaust tips are black chrome...no matter how dirty, they always look clean.
