Waterless Wash for claying

Thats the question I have. I have a large supply of Adams WW. Is this a better option to clay the car than detail spray ? I'm imagining it has more lubrication.

 

please let me know.

 

If i'm at a higher risk to mar the paint with the WW rather than detail spray, please inform me, as I will just use the detail spray.

Well, my first shot out of the cannon is that they are 2 different products for a reason. WW doesn't feel as "slick" me to as DS.

 

Unless someone "official" says otherwise, I'd stick with DS for lubing the claybar.

waterless wash actually has more lubricity than DS but I still prefer to use DS with clay.

Go with what works for you, but I personally find WW to be too slippery for clay lubrication. There is such a thing as TOO MUCH lubrication when claying. If you over lubricate the clay can't work on grabbing and sheering off bonded surface contamination.

WCW is too slick, it doesn't let the clay drag enough to do its job. Use DS!

Same concept of WW. It will probably result in not letting the clay bar drag and pick up the contaminant. If Adam says DS then I'd use DS, he makes the stuff and wouldn't tell use something that would F up our cars.

Too bad they can't mix.

 

The waterless wash goes on slippery and off very easy.

The Detail spray takes a little more effort to remove, however what it does with the shine is priceless!
