Ready for first wash of new truck, couple questions
gabhart replied to coops18ZR2's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
Get something on those tires (Tire Shine) and it will be perfect! -
Full cleaning once a week with spot cleaning to maintain (like bug removal)

H20 Gloss/ Shine
gabhart replied to Bluesplayer's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I have not tried this but would think there would not be enough moisture to fully activate the product. -

They look great but you need to get some Tire Shine on those tires!

New Truck-What to do?
gabhart replied to Mbrazelton's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I agree. After a no wash delivery of my 1LE I washed it when I got home to find no swirl marks and extremely smooth paint. I made the decision not to decontaminate or clay at that time and just hit it with some H2O G&G to get some protection on it. I will continue with Detail Spray as a drying agent and H2O G&G every few washes until the weather cools down then will do the normal steps and get sealer on her. -
Satin black painted wheels
gabhart replied to jvs0302's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
Good point. Maybe I will experiment on the barrels first since I will not mind if they have a little shine to them. -
Satin black painted wheels
gabhart replied to jvs0302's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
Good to know it will not add gloss to satin finishes. Just picked up a 2018 1LE with satin black wheels and I want to coat them since the brake dust is insane -

I agree with 90 days. I would not put ANYTHING on new paint until then. Ok to wash with regular shampoo but not Wash and Wax since it will leave some protection on the paint. No Detail Spray either!

VRT runs bad in the rain on trim and tires. I stopped using it completely because of this. Love Tire Shine though!

Nice work. The PCM hat: you in the Raleigh area?

Pulled the front wheel off my Harley to get the tire changed and wound up replacing the brake pads too. Also discovered where all the brake dust hides. I'll be aiming Adams Wheel Cleaner in different places the next time the bike gets washed!

I don't recall who Jr. followed via virtual racing. I do know he is (or was) heavily involved in the iRacing community. My son and I even were in a few races with him! I also enjoyed all the Papyrus racing games. I still have the last NASCAR game they released but having a hard time finding a computer to run it.

Applying buttery wax with DA polisher?
gabhart replied to Chonke's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
I only apply wax by machine and apply by hand in just the tight areas a machine can't get to. Application is more uniform across the surface and you use less product.
