Detailed: 2012 Harley Street Glide

I don't detail many motorcycles, but this was one I didn't want to pass up.  I've never really been a Harley guy, but I have a soft spot for Street Glides...especially in this color, Pearl Blue.

It arrived to me in fair shape, with the typical bug splatters and brake dust that plagues most motorcycles.

I started out with a heavy dose of Waterless Wash to soften the bug guts and the grime that was on almost every forward-facing surface.

After about a minute of dwell time, one more spritz of WW, and a quick wipe later took care of a lot of the bugs:

The front wheel was my next target.  Same process here, Waterless Wash soak and wipe down with Waterless Wash Waffle Weave Towels:

Rear wheel, after the bags were removed.  This is typically a neglected area since it's tedious to clean the entire wheel, even with the bags off:

You can see the contrast here, left of the shock was finished, right of the shock was untouched:

The hard bags had a few deep scratches and some light swirling on them, so I went to work with the Cyclo, Paint Correcting Polish, and Orange Microfiber Pads.  Everything was wiped clean with Double Soft Towels.

Here you can see one of the deeper scratches:

Gone after 2 passes.

Such an incredible color, especially out in the sun!

A hummingbird that managed to get into the garage.  He supervised for a while:

50/50 of the brake lever after Metal Polish #1 and Microfiber Applicator Pads.  Removal was with a few All Purpose Microfiber Towels:

Exhaust tips cleaned up well with some diluted All Purpose Cleaner, then sealed with Quick Sealant:

After Metal Polishing my brains out on every surface possible, a coat of Quick Sealant, and a layer of Americana later, here is the finished product:

Beautiful job Nick. You didn't mention anything, but I spray In & Out on the wrinkle black cases.

What did you use on the Hummingbird to get the colors bright?

Killer results Nick!

:2thumbs:

Awesome work Nick, I'm very thankful most of my Triumph is not chrome, but black powdercoated lol!

Now lets see you as a victory celebration doing some tire roasting!

I'm sure it's a tire roaster with the 103 motivating it!

Nice shots Nick! I love the pic of the hummingbird and the DS reflection  :2thumbs:

Thanks!

I threw a little BG on him to brighten him up.  ;)
