Glass cleaner and sealant on my macbook screen

Werne1nm

Question

I was sipping down my macbook today and was wondering if i could put glass cleaner and sealant on the screen of my macbook.

Should make it pretty easy to get stuff off after the treatment.  What do you all think?

i used interior detail the other day on my macbook pro retina - sort of streaky - i will try glass cleaner next time. i would be nervous putting glass sealant on it. my screen is something i do not want to wipe very often as i don't want to introduce scratches.

Glass cleaner yes (not directly onto the screen). Glass sealant... NO! Big No.

The screen it's all glass. It has a layer of plastic over it to prevent it from shattering.

Very well then, should I wait for the rumoured upgrade in Q4 or bite the bullet now with the newly updated 12" macbook? ????

I'd say wait for the rumored MacBook Pro. The 12 inch is good but I prefer the MacBook Pro. Plus it seems it's going to be a big upgrade.

I was going to wait because of the rumoured pretty decent upgrade. I don't need the pro, I can do just the Air as long as it's 15in. And I can't do a fan either so they have to axe that in the pro if they want me in

My mac needs a good cleaning so I will try the glass cleaner on it too
