  1. New paint can be sanded a mere number of hours after being sprayed. We just want to get a feel for if it was sanded at all and buffed after, or if it was left to dry and now you are ready to polish it. Depending on what kind of results you are aiming to achieve, you may or may not need to sand it. And like Dylan said, it's tough for us to judge just over pictures.
  2. That would make it not clean if it needed clay and Polish! if you keep up on washing like intended, and wax prior to the wax dissipating a lot of the time very little claying needs to be done
  3. I should have added, it was not a strip wash, but trying to remove theoxidised rubber from the top of the trim, and it had dripped down the side of the truck and left a white residue. Maybe it was the wax coming off the paint? Thats exactly the video! And i will take a look at your post Frank
  4. I had seen a video a while back about using the APC on the trim of your car, then using VRT to help seal it against the sun and keep from getting polish and wax residue stuck. But I can't seem to find it again. I thought what I had saw was the APC sprayed onto a towel, then wiped the trim, so I gave it a shot! but as I lifted the towel, I had drips of a white substance on the black paint, I panicked, and washed it off with the regular car shampoo, and it disappeared. My question is how do you guys use your APC? and at what point in the washing stage do you use it? I did do mine before washing the vehicle , so I could have used too much? or maybe it was the dirt collecting off the paint in these drips? I just want to be positive for next time
  5. Was washing the truck real quick, thought i'd give you guys a look! I know the black looks kinda hazy, but in this picture you can't see that it is a gold flake in the black. Untitled by CrazyCody93, on Flickr
  6. Is there a thread topic somewhere, or a video, talking about each of Adam's waxes and Sealants, and their intents, and differences? I'm getting close to running out of the other brand of wax that I am using, and want to make a step in the right direction for my truck!
  7. ^ If they are a chrome plated wheel, you wont really be able to use a polish that well. probably use a glaze to fill what small scratches are there, then a sealant to make it last!
  8. Untitled by CrazyCody93, on Flickr sorry, tried to get it uploaded on the last post, but uploading pictures over the phone doesnt quite work. Thqat was prior to washing the bed at all, what i did was hose the whole bed, then spray APC on the spots that looked loike this, i used a brush and scrubbed each spot, and when i hosed it off, it looked pretty good. But when the bed dried out it looks like there are spots in different places.. ANd i think i've had this issue before where when i wash it, it even water spots? so i may just not be rinsing enough.. i'll get another picture here in a bit
  9. So there is more then one spot, this being the worst of what I am battling. but just to give you guys an idea of what I'm working with. Also, when I did scrub it with the shampoo, I believe a large portion had gone away, but in this Berliner you can't see anything until it dries, so it may be just an issue of needing to excessively rinsing it.
  10. ^ that's the truth.. My APC showed up today! and I'm headed to my parents place early in the morning to get started on the truck, and i'll keep you guys posted as it goes!
  11. ^ that's awful man. I've got a couple neighbors I don't care for, but that has to be miserable
  12. Well rarely do i use my truck, as trucks were intended.. We ended up using the u-pol raptor bedliner, that does have a fairly nice finish! so i do like to keep it clean while i can! So i'm currently waiting for my APC to arrive in the mail to give it a shot!
  13. Well the tough part is I don't know what chemicals it is.. how do I go about neutralizing it?

  15. I'm not worried about losing anything, with how well the products i have used so far work, i know that i will be glad i purchased it. I was just hoping, depending on how much of it i'm using, i know i will need to purchase the gallon refill sooner, is all.
  16. I guess i should add that i just recently hauled some stuff the had some 'cleaning' chemicals on it, which i do not know. but the places it had dried on, didn't go away after i had used the shampoo and a scrub brush. I did need APC and just ordered some, and was hoping somebody could give me some insurance that this stuff will do the trick, I'll be giving it a shot anyways, but was hoping to obtain some answers before it got here! Thank you for the input though, i will be looking into it
  17. I'm wondering how you guys have cleaned your bedliners? I was able to pressure wash mine with pine sol for soap, and had good results, but i would like to be able to spray on a cleaner, scrub over it with a brush really quick, and have it come out just as nice. Anybody have any advice?
  18. The tough part is, the new comers (like me) who have only used the shampoo, detail spray, and waterless wash, learn about the other stuff, like the APC i ordered tonight, only to find the 36oz bottle i was hoping for isn't there now
  19. I just wanted to thank this community, As much as the Adam's product is never over sold, even just reading some of the tips on how to properly care for the paint on your car, make some of the others products i already own, even more impressive. I had some before I discovered adams, so as i run them empty, i'm reading more and more on here about how to properly use these things, and my truck is looking better, and better, every time I detail it, and i wanted to say thanks to everyone
  20. Lots of good info! I really appreciate it, and yes, my wheels were cast overseas, when I inquired about the finish apparently its some exotic tri stage that the company isn't sure anyone does in the States? But I believe he is wrong.. I talked to a wheel repair guy once who told me about the scion wheels have a special silver with a black base that is special to it. Unfortunately here in Oregon it rains a lot. And in the last 5 thousand miles, I haven't gotten a good wash on the wheels yet, so in the morning while I have the wheels off for a rotate, now that I got my DWC I'm going to give them a really good washing
  21. I am expecting my deep wheel cleaner wednesay, and i'll let you guys know how it works for me!
  22. Fancy running into you here Billy Billy!
  23. Anything else? I've got some other brands of wax if that does me any good? at this point I won't be able to receive anything by the time I pull the wheels off
