  1. I think I might have waited a little longer than you maybe 7 years before I debadged. After I finished getting off the residue I cleaned it up, clayed, then polished. I used a compound since it had been so long and it cleaned it right up. Good job on the truck it looks really good.
  2. I think you are talking about the adhesive left on the truck right? When I debadged I used Goo Gone, Goof Off with a microfiber towel. 3M makes a good adhesive remover but it is hard to find locally. Whatever adhesive remover you use will of course remove your sealant so make sure you reapply your sealant once you get the adhesive off and get it cleaned up.
  3. Plan on a really long day. It is very rewarding when you finish but washing, claying, polishing a 7 year old truck and making it look good with a pc is going to take a lot of time.
  4. I'm with you on this one. The wash pad just glides across and picks up quite a bit of soap. There is more soap on the pad after I finish then there would be with the two bucket method for me. I do waterless and rinseless washing and obviously there is a lot more lubrication on the surface with foam than either of the other two methods that most people use safely and effectively.
  5. Amazing car. An Audi R8 can have swirls all over and I don't think many people would notice because of the way it looks.
  6. Copperas Cove which is just west of Killeen, Fort Hood
  7. Made my first order with Adams during the Labor Day sale and was able to try out a few products. I washed both my car and truck then used my blower to dry off them. First off I got to use the Detail Spray. It does make the paint slick and you do get the gloss that you want and it smells really good. It was kind of humid both during the evening and this morning but no streaking which was nice to see. I have watched the videos and read where most people like to use this as a drying aid. This is really good detail spray and the other detail sprays that I have done that with in the past I tend to use more because if the vehicle has water on it I feel I am going to be diluting the detail spray. I do have some detail sprays I don’t mind doing that with but this one does not fall in that group. I also got to try out the Buttery Wax with yellow hex applicator. I only did the tailgate on my truck so it didn’t take long at all. It was ready to come off pretty quick and no dusting. This is my first time using an applicator pad like this and I will be getting some more of these for sealants when I don’t feel like getting the buffer out. I really do not like waxes since they don’t last very long but I may use this when it starts cooling off. I still have some more Adams products that I ordered that I have to use and am looking forward to that since the first ones worked so well. For the APC it looks like 1:1 works well do you all agree with that?
  8. I have the Gilmour 75QGFMR and it looks like pretty close with the same dilution rates. The butchers is made by Gilmour so I would get that one.
  9. Miguelr the Golf came out looking good, nice job. Doing that by hand and taking only 6 hours is pretty quick. Did you polish the sides of the car or just the top of it? Also seeing this is your first post welcome to ADAM's.
  10. I am just north of you in the Killeen area. Waxes down here don't last very long. I use sealants only in the summer because of that. I put 2 coats on in June and this month I will give it one more to make it through the summer. Sealant over a sealant works good because it has something to bond to. Around the middle of September I get the wax back out because in October I strip everything off when it finally starts to cool down.
  11. I know that buying in gallons is much cheaper but does the 110% guarantee cover products that have expired. If you get something like Adams leather and interior conditioner that they recommend using 4 times a year sooner or later it is going to go bad.
  12. They are the best I've used, nice to see that you strive even when you have the best. I was on another site when I saw you post about the Adams sprayers so thanks for putting the word out. I like to try new products also and will look to Adams when I start running low. I see you have Americana review on your you tube channel so I will wait for others to show up on there.
  13. I did the search and wasn't able to find anything on this. I got some foaming sprayers while I was up there and they are the best I have come across yet, thanks to Ihaveacamaro for recommending them. I looked yesterday and today and didn't see them.
  14. Hi all, checking in from Central Texas. I just got back from vacation and none of my relatives have wifi so I had to wait to get back to post this. While I was in Colorado I got to go to Adams. I walked up to the door and it was locked so I turned and started to leave and the door opened behind me and Matt was standing there. I told him I was in the area and wanted to take a look and he told me to come in. Well of course I expected he would let me come in and look at the showroom. Nope I got the Adams tour just like the one you see in the video. Of course in person it was great. Matt answered all the questions I had and is a great representative for Adams. I am looking forward to getting some Adams products and trying them out.
