  1. Good to know all, thanks! I was always spraying the glass first, and by the looks of it, I was using too much product as well. I also have never tried using one towel for applying product and one for wiping away residue, I will try that!
  2. Personally, I really like to use revive. For a detail with no polishing involved, I like this method. 1. Wash/dry 2. Clay 3. Revive 4. Sealant 5. Buttery I notice a big difference in the pop of my paint when I use revive on my truck after I haven't for a while. Seriously impressed with what revive will do!
  3. It does not seem to matter what I do, but I cannot acheieve streak free glass, and clean glass. I am using the Adams glass cleaner, along with the green glass towel. Even after I wipe down a window, I can still see streaks in the sun. Also, my the inside of my windows seem to carry a kind of film or layer of haze on them that is very difficult to remove. Again, I try to clean the inside, and it streaks. Any ideas? Thanks all!
  4. I am in the same boat as you ForceofWill. My Silverado is going in for a lift kit sometime in the next few months, along with new wheels and tires. When it comes out it is going to be sitting a good 7 inches higher than before it went in. As much as I can't wait to have my truck all done up, I am also dreading the washing part of it. If Adams can answer our plea for a microfiber pad on a handle, we will have a much easier summer of detailing! One upside to a lifted truck though. It is a lot easier to clay the bottom portion of the truck. When I do oil changes, I won't even need to put the track on ramps or up on stands!
  5. That would be awesome if Adams was actually coming out with something like this. It would make life so much easier for truck owners, RV owners, the list is endless. My wife's horse trailer is a serious pain to wash by hand.
  6. Is it possible that Adams could come out with something like this? If not, could you suggest a good microfiber wash mitt, but on a pole of some kind? In the winter time, my washes need to be fast. Using the microfiber pads is clumsy and time consuming I find. I really miss the old mitts that Adams used to sell. At least your hand was inside and it was impossible to drop the pad. I can't believe no one has ever thought of doing this? A high quality microfiber pad on a handle would save a ton of time, and a lot of back pain for those of us who have bad backs. Does anyone know of a good microfiber wash pad on a handle? Thanks!
  7. One bit of information for you. I am a small engine mechanic for a living, and a certified pressure pump technician (sounds fancy..NOT!) Anyways, do not run water that is too hot through that unit of yours. Pressure washer pumps that are to be used with hot water are designed specifically for that. There are completely different sets of o-rings, packings and seals for cold water units, and hot water units. Your unit is designed for cold water, not hot. Warm water or barely hot water will probably be ok, but don't get too carried away with it. On a side note, very nice truck. I am not a Ford man, but I have always liked the Raptor truck look and the interiors are really nice as well.
  8. How do you guys clean your dew wipes? My truck is 3 years old now and I have noticed I am starting to get the fine scratches in the window glass from dirt that is embedded in my dew wipes. Would All Purpose Cleaner cure that? Also, is it ok to put Liquid Paint Sealant on chrome and stainless steel? Thanks all!
  9. Thank you to all of you at Adams! First class product, people, business practices, and customer service.
  10. Actually, I did send an e-mail to the Canadian distributor who sent me my order. That was over a week ago and I still have not heard anything back, so I assume it's ok.
  11. I was shocked to see I received some free Americana with my last order. Either it is because I have spent a lot of money this year and they are saying thank you, or they made a mistake. I ordered one Americana on my last order, when I opened the box I discovered two!! That is one heck of a freebie, and I am sorry but no, I won't be giving it back!
  12. One thing I have noticed with Adam's products is that almost all of them wipe off easily if you get the product om the wrong spot.
  13. Adam, you and your company have my full support and respect as a person and a consumer. I think a lot of people under-estimate the costs involved with running a company, and especially a small company. People need to realize that you do not have the purchasing power of companies like Mothers and Meguiars, who order 200,000 pads at a time for worldwide sales. There are very few companies out there who would be willing to divulge their costs to their consumers. That alone earns a great deal of respect from all of us I am sure. At the end of day, Adams products are more expensive then the competition. However, besides the fact that they ALL work, and work incredibly well, I feel good knowing that the kind of people you employ, are the kind of people I would never hesitate to help in life. I know my money is going to good hard working honest individuals who are trying to live their own lives, raise and take care of their families. It is nice to know my money is not feeding a greedy corporation with a swelled upper management team that is drastically overpaid. Even as a Canadian I support Americans because to me, Americans are like brothers and sisters to me as a Canadian. We need each other, and our successes feed off of each other, and we push forward for the same rights and ways of life. Just my $0.02
  14. Hmm. I have to ask. If the sealant provides superior protection, what is the point of keeping waxes around? Right now I have everything, paint sealant, buttery, and Americana.
