  1. Hello there fellow SoCal detailer!
  2. Agreed, I thought my car had a fat butt, the Challenger when parked next to it looks HUGE!
  3. I wish! My room is already taken over by car parts, detail stuff, and currently AR15 parts, my girlfriend would have a fit if a huge *** jug of detail spray popped up LOL!
  4. This place is a huge help with so much, I find myself coming back just to look up some tip I had read earlier!
  5. Me? A five gallon jug of Detail spray!
  6. The same way you would clear coat, just know that Gel coat doesn't respond to wax the way clear does, you won't get the same depth and gloss, and it will yellow.
  7. Most carbon fiber is gel coated, not cleared with automotive clear. If you can find auto cleared carbon fiber then the yellowing isn't much of an issue if you keep a coat of super machine wax for sealing and buttery wax for UV protection.
  8. Ugh...ok, I am awake after a shower...time to head to the Crossroads of the West gun show!
  9. It does for me, I actually am not a fan of the green backlighting on my interior, and one of these days I will switch them over to blue LED's, but it is a royal pain....
  10. Man Jason, I WISH you were my neighbor, I would come "borrow" your garage! Screw a cup of sugar, I need a bottle of detail spray neighbor!
  11. Welcome to the forums, and thank you for your service to this country!
  12. Bump for an update with the canyon cruise route now available!!
  13. Use the jelly blade one as he said, not the cheap rubber ones. Make sure you do it fast too to keep dirt from settling on the car, and keep everything well lubed with detail spray. All of the tips here are great, and as long as you are careful they can be used without issue.
  14. I've felt one, it has a rough feeling to the material in my opinion. I wouldn't trust it with my paint, keep it for home cleaning though they look like they would work great for mopping the kitchen/bathroom or cleaning up spilled juice on a hardwood floor or something....
  15. http://www.autogeek.net/ezdebrfca.html Try that
  16. Agreed! Detail spray for essentially a waterless car wash (keep in mind the car shouldn't be muddy or anything, just light dust and dirt), and brilliant spray glaze after wards to keep the shine on!
  17. My detail helper, my girlfriend's dog Channel
  18. Thanks everyone! I love the Shelby history, Carroll Shelby has really made a massive impact on racing throughout his lifetime, and reading about what he did gives me goosebumps! I started collecting after I purchased my GT500, I've kept most everything associated with the car, as well as things given to me at the Shelby factory, and things of that nature. I have to frame a couple things, but once I do that I will take some more pictures of the other stuff I have collected so far
  19. That keyboard looks familiar, hehe, I love the G15 Gamer much?
  20. Just got three books in this last week to add to my Shelby collection, the Mustang Masterpieces one is numbered and signed by Mr. Shelby as well as the author, which is pretty neat. The 85th birthday one is a huge collage of photos and stories of the birthday bash that was thrown for Mr. Shelby last year:
  21. Someone is having a birthday today, unless he fibbed when he signed up on the forums, LOL!
  22. Haha, nice! Yeah, Austin is actually my roommate and another car nut, he actually is the one that got me addicted to Adam's by taking me to my first detail clinic. I blame him whenever my girlfriend asks me why I need another gallon of detail spray!
