  1. Also apply in a cross hatch pattern, I follow Adam's glass cleaning /sealing video to a T and I never have issues.

Don't use Rain-X wiper fluid, that is pure garbage.

Also remember since Glass Sealant has 4x the active ingredient of Rain-X, you'll be using less than you would if you were applying Rain-X.

    LOL

  2. Why is it only 3 hrs?

If people are going to drive in, 3 hrs isn't that much time to justify the drive (most places outside of CO springs).  I, personally am still willing to show up, but just wondering why it is only 3 hrs?

If it has to be 3 hrs, can you move it from 9am to like noon to 3 or even 6pm, to allow for people to drive up that morning?  (out of state folks, like myself)

This my friends will be a great time!!

  3. I try to fold them the same way I would as if I were going to use them, but ultimately it is however they manage to all fit in my containers. I also keep the DS, polish/wax removal, glass, and drying towels in a different container than the rest because those are the towels that never come into any contact with dirt.

Topics like these are good, it lets everyone know that they aren't the only crazy ones here :D

Good point and I fully agree with the last statement.  :)

  4. Thanks to everyone for the replies.  I decided to go with Covercraft.  I'll let everyone know how it works out.  I will say that with the amount of trees in my neighborhood (which really means birds), I absolutely need to keep it covered.  Thanks for the advice about keeping it tied down to prevent scratching the clear when it is windy.

    Cheers

    Todd

I would still recommend doing a complete sealant and wax job before putting the cover on (for added protection).  :)

  5. Thank you all for your input.  I know it isn't the most important or glamorous topic but I wanted to know how people fold their towels.

I like the statement made by Beemer.

If you're not folding them in 3rds you're TOTALLY doing it wrong!

    ....I keed.  I keed.

Fold them however they fit in your available storage space.

  6. If it wasn't for Paul Walker (RIP) and Vin Diesel these cars would be selling for a lot more reasonable prices IMO, demand skyrocketed after the first F&F movie in 2001.

    :iagree:

also because of that, it is RARE to find one that is in original condition without being "modded".  :(

  7. I would do same as above, as the GG6 from Phil @ DD is a phenomenal tool for the money.

Then order the Orange/White polish combo from Adam's, I would order 2 MF cutting pads, 2 orange foam pads, and 2 white foam pads.  You could use the Liquid Paint sealant by machine but I prefer hand sealing and waxing (more therapeutic in my opinion), Quick Sealant would be the easiest way to do it, and since the hex grips are discontinued I would get the 2-pack of the Interior UFO applicators (same foam as the hex grips) for waxing and sealing.

Also I doubly recommend the 4" polisher kit with the 3" backing plate and pads as they will be a time saver and much more effective on bumpers, pillars, headlights, tail lights, and other small areas.

    :iagree:

**Don't forget to buy an extra gallon of APC and the yellow Adam's pad conditioning brush, in order to help clean out those pads.  :)

I know the kit comes with one, but if you are buying them separately, don't forget to add it on.  It is FULLY worth it for the microfiber 7" pads.
