  1. Wow, that's great progress so far. I can honestly say I know what you are going through, because I am going through the same thing. I've been heavy basically my entire life. I was pretty overweight when I was a kid. I've lost weight in the past, but I always managed to gain it all back and then some. The final straw was last year when I was at the Dr. office. I was 327 pounds, I was on two blood pressure meds, a cholesterol med, and anti inflammatory meds because my knees and feet were always hurting so bad. In June of last year I had gastric bypass surgery. I was 305 at the time of the surgery, and now I am down to 220. I am now off my blood pressure meds, off the cholesterol meds, and feeling a LOT better.
  2. Another tip, try the leather and interior cleaner like mentioned, but they scrubbing it with a Mr. Clean magic eraser. I find that works wonders on mg leather seats and armrests that get grubby. Step up to the APC if the Leather cleaner isn't cutting it.
  3. I was seriously considering a Flex too. I am rocking an el cheapo Harbor Freight polisher right now. Hopefully one day I will be able to afford a Cyclo. But rather than fork out the cash for a Cyclo right now, I'd rather build my Adams collection a bit more. I have all the staples, but I want to get into more of the polishes now. Just bought the wife a 2014 Altima, so I think I will try the Adam's paint sealant on it. Right now all I've been using is the Buttery wax. I swear that stuff would get eaten if I put it in a bowl with some Hills wafers! Lololol It smells EXACTLY like banana pudding.
  4. I have to agree with above statements. Every so often I scrub the crap out of my tires 2-3 times before dressing them. Like Adam mentioned, I'd the APC runs down the sidewall after spraying it and its brownish, then you know the tire is still dirty. I use a stuff bristled brush specifically made for scrubbing tires that I bought from the auto parts store. Its curved to align with the curve of the tire. It works great, especially when used with lots of full strength APC. Also, speaking of "full strength", I usually use a 50/50 mix on the tires and wheels. I only use full stegnth when I notice stubborn brownish buildup that isn't coming off easily. I also periodically scrub all the textured black plastics on my truck that I dress with SVRT. It makes them look like new again, and helps the SVRT to actually stick or cling better to the plastics, and not have that whitish hazed look.
  5. I have a window at work that they are talking about replacing because its so scratched. It seriously looks like someone scrubbed the crap out of it with a green Scotchbrite pad. I will give the PCP a try because worst case is they will still replace the glass anyway.
  6. OP, are your windows tinted? Mine are tinted and I have the same problem. The towel tends to "grab" the glass. But also, I am using a cheaper towel too, not the Adam's towels. The towels glide easily on the exterior windows though. But I also have all the exterior windows treated with Rain-X. Not sure if that plays any role in it either. Regardless, I like the Adams glass cleaner, it works great.
  7. Hi everyone, my name is Scott. I've been a longtime lurker but I was always hesitant to regester on here. I'm on too damn many truck forums already, lol. Any of you guys from any of the GM truck forums might recognize my screen name. Jarrod with Bulldog Car Care/ Adam's Polishes of Austin is who actually got me hooked on Adam's protects. I was always hesitant to try anything because most of the products are more expensive than other brands of detailing products. I had him send me a 4oz. sample pack and once I tried the products myself, I quickly realized why they were more expensive than other brands. You get what you pay for, and Adams is actually worth the extra money. So far, my two favorite products are the SVRT and the APC. I literally buy the APC buy gallons now. My wife even uses it around the house. It cleans grease off the kitchen stove and countertops far better than 409. She even cleans the bathroom with it. My wife bought me a machine polisher for Christmas, so just bought the 2 step paint polishing system. I only tried it on one panel of my truck so far, and I'm beyond impressed. I just got in my order from the Valentines day sale, and I got my first clay bar. I've never clayed a vehicle before, but I've been reading up and learned that I need to fully clay my truck before polishing it. So that's what I aim to work on on my next day off of work. I have a 2001 Chevy Suburban, and just bought the wife a brand new 2014 Altima. I'm looking forward to learning more tips and techniques on here in order to shine and protect both of my vehicles.
