Just stocking up for spring, so it will just sit in the basement and thaw on its own.

Made up a detailing cart for myself. Got the cart and SS top free from work and had the oak plywood sitting around. Just had to drill the holes and paint the cart. Should work well

"BAM" is what comes to mind when I look at this car now. It turned out incredible. Granted it had a pretty nice paint job on it to start with that is only 1 year old but its well beyond any factory finish now. I started out with washing the car with car shampoo, then wiped it down with 50/50 Alcohol/water mix to strip the paint. That was followed by a claying the whole car to prep it for paint correction. I had never used the paint correction product before and was really happy with the results. The next day I finish polished and striped washed again with 50/50 followed my waterless wash. Once I felt the paint was bare I applied a coat of machine sealer. It seemed like the paint was drinking up the sealer as I applied it, not sure if it was because it was the first time it had been applied or what. Once I was using the old sealer it gave me a chance to take a brake from the car while I waited for it to cure. This morning I started with the interior, wiped everything down with leather cleaner, vacuumed, shampooed the carpet, and then used the leather conditioner on the seats. The seats sucked up the conditioner like the paint did the sealer lol. Only thing left now where the wheels and tire. A little wheel cleaner and soft bush did the trick on those and I finished those up with a coat of wax on the inside to help protect them. At this point about 18 hours had passed since I removed the sealer so I decided to go ahead and apply a coat of glaze. I wasn't going to do the glaze at first but the next thing I knew it I had the Flex in my hand working away with glaze. I finish the car with a coat of Americana and I cant tell you who happy I am. This isn't even my car and Im not getting anything out of the 10 hours I put into it beside the satisfaction that my buddies car looks kick ***. The last few photos where taken after I sprayed it down with a little detailer.

So I talked my buddy it to dropping off his 2014 Audi S4 with me before he went to LV for a few days. I felt sorry for his car when I saw it, brake dust, bird droppings, dirty paint, and a 8K tach that hadn't been redlined yet with the paddle shifter on the steering wheel. First thing first I took it out and took care of the redline issue lol. From there I washed and clay bared it before I started the paint correction. Today I plan on doing paint finishing, and machine seal before I take on the interior. Ill finish it tomorrow with a glaze and paste wax. Here are a few photos of what's happened so far. Ive got two bird dropping stains I cant get rid of and don't want to get to aggressive on them and take off the clear coat.

Just a bit of worthless info. Ive found the red caps work great for other bottles to keep them airtight. I run Auto Cross so I bleed my brakes pretty often and keeping the fluid fresh and moisture free is a big deal to me. These caps do a great job of keeping the unwanted out of my brake fluid that I keep on the shelf after I break the seal.

I just noticed after I ordered that the Adams Foam Polishing Pad Kit (at $49.95) that it cost more then buying them separately. The Adams Foam Polishing Pad System ($19.95), Adams machine glazing pad, and Adams machine sealant/waxing pad ($12.95 each) cost $45.85. Wonder if that's just a oversight on pricing or something is on sale?

There are a few Adams products I really like, the waterless car wash being the biggest. From there it’s the interior detailing products mostly. Other than that I’m a Zanios guy. I think the polish (Z5 followed by the Z2) are incredible products and I always detail with Z8. When I go to car shows I get nothing but praise about the way my paint looks and shines and I typically get very high point from the judges. I know it’s a process to use their polish with the additive and all but I actually enjoy hanging out in the garage rubbing on my baby (that sounds a little strange lol)

I know Zanio's polish isn’t really a "polish" because it doesn’t really cut; it’s more of a liquid wax. At least that’s my take on it. I never used a traditional paste wax on my car and always considered a paste suited for more of an everyday driver then a show car or toy. I know this is the Adams forum and I expect you to all back there product 100% BUT I’d like to know why. Real world experience not because thats what my buddies buddy uses, or I had swirls with Zanio (if you had swirls you did something wrong, sorry) or just other silly reasons that hold no merit. I’m open to trying new things but again just want to know why.

Is my take on paste wax false on some level and a paste wax vs liquid polish the same thing? Is one better than the other for certain applications? Let’s hear what you have to say. Again I’m open to new things and am asking these questions because I want the best finish I can have for my GTO.  I hope this doesn’t come off neg as that’s not my intent, I truly want to know what’s best. Thanks

I bought the glaze, old machine sealer, and waiting on wax. Ill have to see the results before I can say Im sold. I don't expect it "oh my god what a difference" but I do expect the same high quality results or even a little better then what I get from Zanio.
