  1. So I finally grabbed some of the heavy compound and some pads. Here is a pic of one spoke after 2 passes with the foam pad. I did a total of 4 passes but it didn't get any better with the deep scratches but I can almost see myself lol. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/lambo410/20170924_172914.jpg Also my pads became super dirty after one pass, I'm talking total eclipse, pure black. Most likely years of Sh*/ in the wheels. When I get a chance I'll go to correcting polish and snap more pics
  2. Much appreciated I think the barrels are supposed to be painted. I have one wheel he never tried to paint and it's dark grey. Foam pad or microfiber? Might as well try both.
  3. Hey everyone, need a little bit of guidance. These wheels I have on my vw seem to be sanded by the previous owner. When I bought the wheels they were painted. So what you see is what he was hiding underneath. What products or guidance can you guys advise to get them to look much better. Things I already have are a porter cable buffer (small and large pad adapter) paint correction and finishing polish, and revive hand polish. I also have paint sealant, and buttery wax but I doubt the wax would do anything. http://s36.photobucket.com/user/lambo410/media/20170911_181512.jpg.html http://s36.photobucket.com/user/lambo410/media/20170911_181455.jpg.html
  4. We actually do have a bissel. Thank you, I will give those a try and post pics afterwards.
  5. I bought a Jetta with 145k and as you can imagine, the interior is not in the best of shape. I cleaned up most of it but the seat belts....horrible. They used to be tan but are closer to dark grey lol. How does the community go about cleaning their belts? I tried leather and interior cleaner because that's what I had on hand and it didn't make a difference. Should I try all purpose cleaner?
  6. Im cleaning and washing box trucks tractors and trailers for 40+ hours a week. So when it comes to my own i really dont even bother it as much as i used to. On my off days i may bring out the 2 buckets and H2OG&G but the Porter Cable has been boxed all summer.
  7. I prefer to do a one step at a time with the whole car or at least big sections. (Front end, drivers side, etc) So i'll like clay and polish a big section, then clay and polish another section so forth and so on. I think its personal preference.
  8. I think its just a normal black, but it's so dirty if there is any pearl I can't see it yet.
  9. This is great and gives me something to look forward to. I just purchased a black mk4 jetta that needs a ton of love. Great job.
  10. Me and usps priority are like the best of friends. Thank You!!
  11. Today was my first time machine polishing. Used 4" orange pad, orange polish, and a Pc7424xp
  12. I've used liquid paint sealant on my lenses, topped with brilliant glaze for more pop.
  13. You definitely have a small leak. I have one around my windshield. Not enough for a puddle of water, but I will have frost on the inside during the winter.
  14. I figured I would post some shots here. I cleaned up the WRX today, and I knew you guys would care more than my friends on Facebook lol The car is a 2008 WRX sedan, the paint is no where near perfect but I do the best I can to maintain what's there. I'm more of the function over form type. Here she is before I started. My weapons for the day I washed, clay bar, revived, applied brilliant glaze, and liquid paint sealed the paint and headlights. We should be ready for winter now. This is just from the drivers door! All cleaned up, check out the reflection of the house. Thanks for viewing.
  15. Mine isn't white I have a bright silver. I see a slight difference in the sun, makes the metallic pop more.
  16. Thanks for the tips everyone! I was also using the DWC to clean my wheels and couldn't help but notice how much product I was actually going through.
  17. Mine isn't perfect either, I just maintain what I can. You'll love the detail spray and deep wheel cleaner. The wheel cleaner smells a little strong but works wonders on brake dust. I see you ordered the rinseless and the waterless wash. When you run out of waterless wash just pour an ounce or 2 of rinseless in that empty bottle and add water....you've just made more waterless wash. In case you didn't already know that.
  18. Also be prepared to explain to everyone how you can't get this shine in a store. Enjoy, and shine on
  19. And this is the only place that got hit? It does look like paint, how about goo off (or something similar) a little bit of paint thinner?
  20. Thank you everyone! Question, when I do the whole car can I still use the liquid paint sealant after/on top of the revive? I've read that its supposed to be used on bare paint, it just doesnt make sense to seal it then revive.
  21. In my latest mystery box order I received some revive polish. A polish I never intended to purchase and never done any research on. After a couple days I decided to see what kind of potential it had on the forum and I realised I had one spot on the subaru that would be a perfect trial This is the hood scoop on my subaru. No idea what it is or how long its been there. I noticed it after I bought the car last August 3 passes with the revive and its gone! I love this stuff lol I want to do the whole car now.
  22. Don't feel bad i've also been slacking. But I definitely learned something new just reading this thread.
