Glad I found this.. So much awesomeness in one thread! Stealing your undercarriage pressure washer setup along with some tips you shared.
Thanks for the reply Stephen, I am glad you found some of this information helpful.
Here are some links on Amazon for the parts I used for the undercarriage setup:
Shepherd Hardware 6-inch Tri-Dolly
I attached the quick fist to the dolly with a 1/4" SS bolt, fender washer and nylon lock nut.
AR North America Underbody Lance
Just make sure this lance will fit your pressure washer gun as it has a male M22 connection. Some other manufacturers make these style lances so you may be able to find one that matches your gun.

That's really cool Chris!

How does the Master Blaster hang on the wall mount bracket? I thought I read somewhere it was by the wheels but not having a bracket for mine, I can't picture it. Thanks all.
Mike
The wall hanging bracket hooks under the axle of the front wheels on the original but with the swivel wheels on the Revolution it might have to hang from the rear wheels.

Well he's not really new...I'm stoked he's back though!
I was just kidding...
I watched the Volume 8 videos many times.

Hmmm...a flurry of new products and some in-depth, informative threads, along with promises of even greater things to come...I think I like this new guy!

Can't wait to try these out. One of the reasons I hounded Nick to get me a gallon of LC was to be able to pump it. I hated having to shake the bottle upside down, usually just making a mess.
Have you seen any issues with them clogging from having the product in the nozzle dry out between uses? It might not be an issue for the often used products but for polishes and thicker creams it might. I have found that I will get a booger out of the gallon LC pump if it goes more than a few weeks between uses.
Please make them available for purchase separately.

Definitely get an extra set of foam pads for each polish just in case one gets dropped or picks up some crud that you missed during the claying.

PRINT!
I love the detailed (pun intended) information in threads like these. Keep them coming!

Still looks as fantastic as it did the initial detail! That's why Adams products are amazing! Absolutely love the truck, great choice!
BINGO! Excellent products plus good technique equals awesome! After 10 months, 8300 miles, and about 30 washes the truck still looks amazing. And keeping the paint in great shape avoids the extra work of doing a paint correction at each detail. Throw in some good equipment to save time and effort, and you get a first-class ticket to Shineville!

Second the air freshener. A hanging style with the Adam's logo but it MUST smell like LC.

Wow! That video of the water drop is amazing! I want some of that stuff in a very bad way.

A WINTERTIME WASH
After 6 weeks of bitter cold and then very wet weather, the truck was a dirty pig. I am pretty sure the deicer that they use around here is mixed with glue, as the nasty road spray is hard to get off, even with layers of fresh protection. I took advantage of a 38 degree, overcast day to get some shiny before it gets cold again.
I started with a good rinse with the pressure washer and warm water to remove the loose crud. Then a prewash soak with the foam cannon with 2oz CWS and 4oz RW. I let this sit while I worked on the wheels and tires so that it would work to soften up the stuck-on dirt.
While I always use the two-bucket method on the wheels/tires, when it is this dirty I will do all four wheels first, and then go back and scrub the tires and wells. This keeps the water cleaner for the wheels to prevent scratches. Since I have LPS and QS on the fronts and backs of the wheels, I only used CWS for cleaning as I don't want to strip the protection off the barrels as they can only be sealed properly when off the truck.
A handy item I found for scrubbing the brushes clean while washing is this washboard/grit guard combo called the "Dirt Dropper."
Once I finished with the wheels/tires/wells, I pressure-rinsed the truck with warm water. Even after a pre-rinse, a sudsy soak, and another rinse, there was still a good amount of nastiness.
I then foamed it with 3oz CWS and 2oz RW. Using the wool wash pad, I did each section, rinsing the pad good between sections in a bucket of warm suds. Since this truck is big, I can't get it all washed before the foam falls off, so I do the top half, then foam again, then do the middle portion, then foam again to do the lower portions and bumpers. I then switched to the DI water for the final rinse, again using warm water.
Dried by blasting most of the water off with the Sidekick, then moved it into the warm garage and finished drying with the Great White Drying Towel and DS.
Dressed the running boards with SVRT, then treated the wheels to two coats of QS, and finished with Tire Shine.
Final result was a swirl-free, super-clean, jaw-dropping level of shine that blows my mind every time.

If you want to go ballistic, check out the first post in this thread:
^^^^ Listen to Greg, for he is wise. Although I'm not sure "ballistic" is the right word, perhaps "super-awesome" is a better description.

I won't post my total so far since joining the ranks of the AP Shineoholics in February (as I would likely be audited and/or committed to an asylum), but I will admit that my very first order was $1,335.40 for a customized version of the top Cyclo kit that I called the "Ultra-Ultimate Kit", which was created with the help of our old buddy Nick.

I would get one.

How about having USPS shipping be an option for the customer for those times when you don't need fast shipping and want a lower shipping cost?
I have had Amazon Prime for years and have gotten spoiled by the two day shipping but Amazon came up with an option for choosing standard no-rush shipping in exchange for a $1 credit for e-books and I have been using this option for about 25% of my orders.

When Line-X did my bed, they pulled them and then put them back. If the plugs are rubber, they should have enough tolerance for a thin coat. Would have to try one spot as a test.
-
What is he to do with all the drain plugs? You can't seal those off.
Pull them out, apply the coating, then after it dries, put them back in. Just like they do in the truck bed.
-
If a scrub brush does not work, I would think you are going to have to use a plastic scraper or plastic razor blade and then try and polish out the scratches. If you can't get the scratches out, then you could spray a coat of bed liner on the bottoms of the rockers.
Patriot Wax... What's Up With The New Tin Container?
in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
Posted
Funny, I thought it looked a little narrow and was going to ask if a hex grip would fit in the tin but I deleted the post thinking "there's no way they would come up with a new container that did not fit the hex grip", especially because they just brought the hex grips back.
Can you post a pic showing the hex grip sitting on top of the tin so we can see how much the size difference is?
