Welcome! It's an addiction.

Jim green it's not hard at all to master there are plenty of YouTube videos as well showing good technique. Pm me if you want some more tips.
I'll message you my process and see if you have any thoughts on the matter! Thanks!

I haven't mastered it. I used it once and ended up having to wash it again with water. I want to master it though!

I did my first paid detail gig today. Woo!

great looking jeep!

Don't forget to spray yourself down with Detail Spray first.
Genius!

I believe that as long as it's quality tested, I'd still have faith in Adams being the number one resource for the best detailing items around.

I've always wanted an RX-7. Great condition. Keep it in a tightly sealed location.

I have a good set up in the garage already but am concerned with temperatures getting too high to store the chemicals outside. Do ya'll live in pretty moderate places? Eff the desert.

You could have a worse addition......just saying.
Good point! I'm spending about as much... but I guess this high lasts longer.
I guess sniffing detail spray is a little better than sniffing glue
Mmmmm... detail spray...

Slightly off topic, ya'll are talented with design stuff. I need a website made. *cough* *cough*

I know the feeling. Since lurking around these forums and then joining the middle of Jan I have at least doubled my collection.
Seriously I think the community and family vibe from Adams keeps me coming back.

Got ya. Thanks! I only knew adams sold the one brush, so I didn't know what the deal was using it on other things. Any recommendations on other brands brushes for more softer materials?

Hey all!
A few questions regarding using cyclo brushes with the cyclo machine.
When swapping pads to the brushes, do you need to swap the nuts on the cyclo for the difference in weight? I forgot what they are called (pretty newb here), but I hope you know what I'm mentioning. The counter balance nuts?
Also, are the cyclo brushes only good to use on carpet? Orrrr are they also approved to work on cloth seats? Are the brushes too tough?
Thanks!

Thanks but I already have one of them.
It's all good! I just managed to recieve two, so I threw it out there.

I just received a new bottle of Brilliant Glaze in last mystery box sale. I already have one partial bottle plus another full bottle. It will take me a while to go through that much Brilliant Glaze and I would hate for it to waste away on a shelf. I am looking to trade it for something else. I open to anything really. Doesn't necessarily have to be equivalent value. Thanks.
I got a long handled wheel brush to trade....

Get in touch with us today... sounds like the warehouse just mistakenly shipped the wrong quantity.
In the future just shoot us an email first - I could've had this already rolling in terms of making it right, but don't always see forum posts until I have time to check.
Thanks! I shot an email in earlier this morning. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy before I started complaining. Haha

Check you account and make sure they sent two. Also what size are the products that you recieved? Adams will make it right.
I know they will! They are awesome! Just a concern of mine.. Looks like they shipped 2 and they were the 16oz bottles.

Hey all!
I'm not one to complain about Adams, but I think I must be missing something. I ordered 2 mystery boxes recently and received glaze, tire shine and wheel cleaner.
Is that the normal amount? Adding that up, I didn't even surpass the total I paid for the 2 mystery boxes. Any feedback would be great!
*update*
And just like that, they are sending me my other box that I ordered. BOOM! Love Adams.

General Effectiveness of Cyclo..
in Paint Correction & Polishing
Posted · Edited by DJJimGreen
Hey all!
So, last night I got home from work and decided it was finally time to see how the cyclo works. I've had it since Christmas, but never really had the opportunity to do a correct on anything. This was also the first time for me to use ANY sort of machine device. Eep!
My car: Pitch Black 2015 Challenger. Yea, pitch black. The car is fairly new, but there was a lot of post-factory scratches and spiderwebs in the paint.
I took what I've learned and started with the least aggressive pads and polish (white and paint finishing) and noticed it really didn't do too much. Although, on my first pass I managed to get too excited and scuff the clear coat. I tried to take a pic of it, but couldn't really get it to show.
Anyways, great, working backwards, I've put a scuff and only barely touched the spiderwebs. Moved on to orange foam pads and correcting. It helped a bit on the spiderwebs, but that scuff was still chilling. It was only on the top coat, so I knew I could get to it.
Lastly, I tried the white microfiber pad with finishing polish and it fixed it up the scuff, but it's still there.. but barely. I didn't go to orange microfiber, as I felt the problem was more operator error and not the cyclo.
Am I doing too much, or just need to hone in my skills? I'm wondering what my expectations for true correcting power of the cyclo should be. I'm working on a black car, so obviously I'm seeing EVERYTHING and when I see any scratches I feel like it's not good enough. Is a flex better for the OCD folks that want 100% correction?
Any thoughts/advice? Here's a few pretty crappy pics I was able to snap. Notice the line above the sticker that I had to see if I was making any sort of progress. Looks like I did, but still... not perfect.
Scuff above the flash.. the bottom scuff lookin piece was removable with a towel
Pretty Obvious Correcting Line (above the vinyl sticker, obviously)
