  1. Certainly making a big difference....even if it's just a small sample of the overall result M
  2. I did our two DDs at the first of June and it's still working pretty good, and there's been a tonne of rain over the summer here (broke the rainfall record in June) In all reality, it should have probably been redone sometime in late Aug but I've also been using the HGG and it either helping or hindering the glass sealant so.... M
  3. I Agree Try claying the glass. Since you say you waited till the sun went down to use the glass cleaner I'm guessing it was sunny when you washed, how's the water in your area? almost sounds like mineral deposits dried/bakes on the glass. M
  4. Rinseless, (I use in various dilutions for all kinds of pre-cleaning and touchups) detail spray, TID, Shampoo, APC, Glass cleaner are the ones I seem to go through the most so those are all gallon buys now. Tire Shine, Leather & Interior cleaner, Carpet & Upholstery cleaner I've got in gallons and a few 16oz bottles and should last a long time before I need to purchase again VRT and HGG I probably would buy in gallons (like the others would last a long time) but can't seem to part with that $$$ when a couple of the 16oz bottles will last pretty good and the gallons are $100+ each M
  5. I Agree I've tried diluted detail spray and even detail spray / int-detailer (Not the best result there) but not VRT/int-Det. Maybe something for the next general clean on the DD Friday
  6. I actually like 303 for certain uses, particularly good on weather strip foam and rubber hoses (engine bay, etc) and I was a dedicated 303 tire guy. I've been using tireshine all summer on the daily drivers, I do like it but honestly it doesn't last as well as I would have hoped (compared to 303) and is a little harder to put on (303 is pretty basic spray and wipe without trying to level or even anything out like the tireshine) Now for my old radial T/A's I haven't tried the tireshine as of yet but I think without the blocks and ribs and details it should be much easier M
  7. My handbrake is right between the two seats at elbow height What's a trunk?
  8. I've mainly used it (interior wise) on the rubber shifter boots, cable accordions, flexible and hard plastics under the dash (heater box, ducting etc) and areas like that. Hopefully helps condition the rubber, adds some depth to the color and a little shine and seems to (hopefully) leave a little protective film that can be easily refreshed with a quick MF wipe while other products I've used in the past (303, armourall, meguires, etc) all seem to completely disappear much quicker. M
  9. I've got 2 here and I think another 4 or 7 on backorder. (for quite a while now, maybe I should look into that...) Looks like I'll have to be careful what they go onto. Anything they are for sure good to use on? (other than shampoo)
  10. Me, I'd like VRT (yeah I know...) And personally, although I just ordered a handful of the current (well old but current up here) fresheners I personally have reached that age where I don't want stuff hanging from my mirror (dream catchers, chains, crosses, garters or fuzzy dice) I'd like to see something more subtle. Scent stick that can be clipped into an air vent or sun-visor or something less obvious. Yes it's not the greatest for sales promotion but anyone who gets in will ask what's that great smell anyway Just my $.02
  11. Thanks for the reply. I've used various dilutions and blends of products (many thanks to Jason for quite a few of those) but was worried that there was something in VRT that could harm something in the interior or rub off on clothing or who know what M
  12. I've used VRT on numerous interior items and have often wondered why Adams says: NOTE: Adam's Super VRT Tire & Trim Dressing is for exterior use. For interior leather, vinyl and plastic use Adam's Leather & Interior Conditioner or Adam's Total Interior Detailer Is there some kind of chemical off-gassing that I've been breathing and one day it'll all catch up with me? Personally I love the smell (air-freshener MK-II) Nothing wrong with L&I or TID but why the specific call out on VRT?
  13. I had a handful of those (air fresheners) in the cart already (I must be the only one who wanted a vrt smell) and it looks like they have the gallons page fixed (just added some) I think I'm over my 150, still wanted a couple of mystery boxes, it's a no-lose gambling thing M
  14. Maybe they're too busy fixing the gallon-refill page on the website to worry about the mystery boxes right now M
  15. Yeah I was also looking for a couple to add to an order I'm building, maybe next time around M
  16. +1 Switched to doing this after having foam volcano it's way out of the bottle first time I tried my new gun. Much better. Still need to find a proper qty of soap, 4oz of the red soap seems a little much... M
  17. That's pretty close to what I'm getting now, guess I've never left one "just clayed" before Which is more along the lines of what I would have thought, not sure about the machine sealant but wax and somehow the HGG I thought would go It's getting a mild/medium correction as soon as the planets align and give me a couple of days between rain and stupidly high humidity, then I'll hit it with sealant, maybe a buttery for therapeutic purposed Thanks M
  18. For the wife's DD. The only thing I've ever put on the car was a coat of HGG about a month or so ago. There might be some wax or sealant from some previous time in the car's life but I don't know and it's been some time since it's had anything other than just touchless car washes (and it doesn't get those anymore) Prior to the HGG the water just sat there all blotched and whatever, after the HGG, beaded like crazy but the paint needed work, (really I just wanted to try the HGG as soon as I got it) Anyway, after finally managing to get my wife's DD clay-barred, then rewashed and dried (no detail spray or anything) and had to quit for the night. There was another delay before I can get to some correction work. Here I am 5 days later, looking out at it in the rain, I see that there is still beading action going on, pretty good beading actually with trails where it's running off. I was really expecting the clay to pretty much wipe out the HGG but it didn't seem to. If you did a clay treatment and for whatever reason, were not going to do a correction, how far back into the process would you go? Re-Seal? Re-Glaze? Re-Wax? (buttery or paste) Just curios M
  19. So yesterday I decided to try some of the suggestions, Overcast and windy but at least not raining for a change I put the other (last) new (old grey) bar in the fridge the night before, realistically it made it hard but within a very short time it was up to temp and being sticky again. Now in a way it was good since I pretty much soaked my hand in detail spray to keep it from sticking, when I was doing the side of the fender the bar suddenly stopped moving and my hand didn't, normally this would have ended with the clay on the ground but this time..... there it was suspended in mid fender. I'm not totally convinced that's a promotional feature but at least for once it worked in my favor. Enough for the day. Last night I thought the other way and decided to put the bottle of rinseless mix (16:1) in the fridge figuring it would at stay cold. Tried again tonight after supper, worked pretty good, bar was way less sticky and I'd say worked just the way I'm used to the big "M" bars. Gliding around really nice and slick and picking up contaminant like crazy (can't tell you how many times that bar go folded but the car was a real mess, now it's finally ready for some correction. Anyway, if your bar is sticking, try cooling the juice, not sure why but it seems to help M
  20. Tried that first, works until you start to work the clay around, as soon as my fingers are in one place for any real length of time it seems the detail spray wears off / squeezes out and back to sticky again That's not the answer I wanted to hear... The gray stuff works great (decon) just a pain cause it's sticking so badly. Looks like I'll have to go back to the big M bar until you fine a happy medium between function and sticky. Thanks for letting me know before I purchased one though. Too bad, I was only 3 containers away from being 100% Adams product. (If I put it in the Adams container it can still live on the same detailing shelf though...) M
  21. Rained pretty much every day since so I haven't been able to try the second bar and/or the rinseless. Still looks like I'll grab a new blue bar next order one way or the other Thx M
  22. I've got a batch or rinseless here, I'll give that a try and look at the second jar to see what it's like Thanks M
