  1. I have used it on my rails and do not have a runoff problem. I have not used it on my liner as I have a bak flip that I do coat with it.
  2. I hear ya on the wheels, I do mine weekly usually and still usually end up needing deep wheel cleaner to get them clean. So as stated sit back and enjoy the clean car, heck get some soap soap and clean you bottles.
  3. Great job, she looks good all shined up.
  4. I had thought of that, and then thought of the leverage application, then there was a discussion on making a pole for the wash wedge which discussed that very option. Quite often when just doing a waterless or rinseless I just stand up on the door sill thou it can be a bit tricky. Im looking into a step ladder of sorts that can hold some supplies a bit higher up for when I need to do a full 2 bucket or a polish so the tools are within easier reach.
  5. Im with ya Chris, im not a small man myself being north of 3 bills as well. That werner works fine for me the only problem I have with using the werner is that It puts me a little farther way from the truck but I can handle that.
  6. It will be fine, along with a good micro fiber as mentioned. I personally will use rinseless mixed down to 16:1 if there is a fair amount on the vehicle. But just a light coating of dust detail and a good towel will sever you well.
  7. Doesnt help me much thou lol I had thought about using those but just not tall enough for me. They would be great for some vehicles that you are close to reaching but just want that little more.
  8. Hey now no picking on Daily Drivers....I spend all my time detailing my DD, and shes a ford F-250. So go give your DD some love.
  9. Happy birthday, may your day shine as bright as your vehicles.
  10. Started my first one a couple months ago, much to the wifes chagrin, I kinda like it, and quite a few neighbors agree that it looks good on me. id snap a pic but yeah that aint happening today lol.
  11. I have tto use a step ladder to get the roof of my F250 still makes the middle of the roof tough even with my long reach.
  12. I have been having good luck with 70% isopropyl alcohol and a stiff bristled tooth brush and paper towels for application, What I have been doing is to get a paper towel very moist with the alcohol and rub onto the plastic. Then take and give a good rub if it is fairly smooth with just mild grooves and patterns in it For the deeper areas I have been using a small plastic cup with a little alcohol in it and just dip the toothbrush right in it. I have been doing this to try and avoid getting too much onto the paint and pull off my finishes. thats just my way and its working well. I did hear the peanut butter method works on the stuborn stuff but I have not yet tried it as the alcohol is working well. I do have one spot that will be tough to get to so I might give it a try and if I do I will certainly take pics.
  13. The F250 wheels are coated, so they can be treated like paint, I plan this spring to pull them off the truck to give everything a good cleaning down there, due to things being crammed in there its tough to get it all with the wheels on even with my favorite Adams tool, the Wheel Wooly.
  14. I used to use the long handled brush as I usually did the wheel well liners as well, this time I tried the red brush you see in the first pic, thought the blue was a little stiff. Dont have the quick sealant yet, with the amount I drive I end up doing the wheels weekly with the wash anyways. Granted those were two weeks but yeah...
  15. Engine bay cleaned up nice, and the wash certainly makes her look nice.
  16. So after cleaning the basement a little and reorganizing the Adams shelf I decided it was time to clean the truck. Got the wheels done and Always love having Deep wheel cleaner around. First shot are the tools of the trade. Second is all cleaned up with no tire shine at all Third is the wheel and tire before cleaning,
  17. I put my Liquid paint sealant down first and have a bunch of buttery on top of it right now but moving over to try some G & G soon. So for me I would do both, Put down the LPS and then do the G & G on top of it, will help the LPS last longer and keep a nice layer on top for you for the protection.
  18. started cleaning the basement and ended up now cleaning the rims and tires, and then giving the truck a bath....thats my day now.
  19. Welcome to the site, looking forward to seeing the pics!
  20. I was referring to the two step paint correction, As Adam and others have mentioned they can take a beating from the factory to you, and you will probably need it. You might be able to get by with revive hand polish and be able to move on but it will be a close call I think.
  21. Certainly a nice looking car welcome to the addiction.
  22. Welcome to the site, Certainly going to need that correction, I got a new 2015 F250 earlier this year and while she looked good the paint was a mess. Couple days of work and some Liquid paint sealer and buttery wax and she is my shiny daily.
  23. Welcome looking forward to seeing some shots of your ride.
  24. Looks great, and she really does look small in those photos which is very nice for a change, too many people try to make things bigger than they really are, keeping it all in perspective in the photos is great.
