  1. I had streaking the first time I used the glass cleaner, but didn't have glass towels. Tried it again after ordering some glass towels, one to clean and another to buff. My opinion of the glass cleaner completely changed. With the proper method and towels, this stuff works great. Tested with non-glass towels on wife's car and streaks were back, so it has to be the combination of product and "tool", at least on my cars.
  2. Got my white one today. Can't wait to dry car with it on Saturday.
  3. I use waterless wash and towels when needed to get rid of dust, but vehicles are both white, so don't show dust like black does.
  4. Just wondering how we all came to use Adams. I started with the usual mass market products, Meg's, Mothers, etc. and while they are good I felt that something was missing. That led to web searches and eventually to Griots, again a good product, but still something missing. Further searching lead to Chemical Guys, again good, but their videos remind me of the Vince from ShamWow telemercials. Then one day about a year ago, a chance encounter recommend Adams detail spray and now a year later I have a garage full. Every product I have from Adams has been great, does what it says, smells great and is priced reasonable. That's my story, how about everyone else
  5. I love this product, and didn't read directions first use. Read them about half way through car, MUCH better on second half of car. Every mystery box I have received since summer has had G&G so I use a lot of it. Like the "dry" method to apply. Best car care product I've used n years, now if Adams would only come up varried smell G&G.
  6. Didn't think of buildup staining clear coat, not concerned with microfiber discoloring, just hate it when someone says "You missed a spot" and was looking for a solution.
  7. I got a gas, 3000 psi at an estate sale for $29 and with the right tip, and not getting too close, it works fine. Really makes my foam cannon work well. It is a bit of a pain to haul out of garage, fill with gas, etc. but it also does a killer job on the concrete patio and sidewalks. If I were getting a dedicated car pressure washer, I'd go electric.
  8. After spending the afternoon detailing the wife's WHITE Hyundai Santa Fe, I have come to the realization that 62 year old eyes are having a harder time seeing if I missed any wax or glaze removal. How about wax, glaze,Polish that changes color to blue or something similar once it is ready to remove? Could easily see missed spots that way. Or am I the only one who has a problem seeing cured wax on a white car.
  9. Nice, I couldn't do my Cherokee in an hour if I had to. It takes me an hour to get ready to begin!
  10. One can never have too many towels on hand. They do wear out eventually and can be relogated to dirtier duties before they end up cleaning things like the lawnmower, etc. and part of the fun, at least for me,is getting new microfiber every once in a while.
  11. In the last mystery box I got waterless wash and 2 towels, among other things. I have been using Griots Garage waterless wash and since it is cold and rainy today, thought I would do a side by side comparison of the two. Adams with Adams towels, Griots with Griots towels. One half of the Jeep with each. So, the results of the experiment. fragrance Adams wins, smells a lot less chemically. Application, both spray on nice, Griots seems bit thicker, both run if applied heavily. Removal, Adams wins, no streaks left after wipe off and that has been something that has bothered me with Griots for a long time. Never seem to get the towel streaks out with their product. Adams left no streaks. Dirt removal, about equal, car was cleaned in both cases. Surface feel when done, Adams side felt smoother and with no towel streaks, didn't need follow with detail spray. But I did anyway, just for the fragrance if nothing else. End result of this.......Adams waterless wash wins!!! Griots is a good product, and I have never had a problem with it cleaning or getting micro scratches, but the mystery box waterless is just better. Looks like a gallon is going to be on the Christmas list.
