  1. Great advice from the Junkman. So, don't fret, these things look unbearable when you're young, when you get older you just make the best of a difficult situation. Enjoy your life, family, and friends. Those who want to cause problems, just tell them in a calm way you have done your honest best, you can't fix the world. If they still want to be upset, that is out of your control, but you don't have to be upset also, you just don't need to do that to yourself. Worried about your child? Do that child a favor, make sure that child has at least one calm caring person they can always count on. Trust me on this.
  2. Junkman may copy my method. My defroster vents / tubing is squeeekee clean, not a dust particle to be found. I'm calling it "The High Colonic Interior Flush"
  3. Yep, did that, water coming out of a/c vents, then was dry. Did happen on a 90 degree day, so all dried out. I had done the Adam's leather conditioner to the entire interior some time ago, so it wiped down nice with no damage I think.
  4. For my 03 Chevy Avalanche, leather interior. I have a lawn irrigation system, parked my truck in the driveway with the windows open, lawn system came on and after about a half hour I thought to myself...."are my windows open?" Yes they were, sprinkler shooting water right thru two side window openings, for about half an hour. The defroster grills on the dashboard at the base of the windshield acted as storm drains, and so on. Well, after sopping up the water and toweling things dry my interior was squeaky clean.
  5. Just got mine and a few questions: 1. Included is a small black fitting, threaded on one end and the other end a male fitting. Is this used somewhere? 2. No instructions on filling the bottle. Just pour in the Adams soap, or dilute the soap at some ratio? I ask this as the instructions say "Turn dial to desired mixing rate letter, this will automatically mix chemical with water" and so on.
  6. Since you're a Chevy Bow Tie guy and a hunter, and I've seen pics of you with a bow, how about: Bow Tie Hunter or...............................................................Priscilla
  7. I got one of those to, but I want the entire collection. I'll bid $1.13.......cash money!
  8. Wow, that blue with white stripes looks terrific, beautiful. The DS is great, but you would be amazed what claying, FMP, and Americana would do. Then maintain it with DS. Just a suggestion.
  9. First Michael, thank you for your service. Be safe please and we pray for your safe return home. Welcome aboard, you are in the right place. Adam's products are terrific, their customer service can't be matched, and there are many experienced detailers here who will take the time to guide you thru any questions. That's a cool ride, hope to see some pics soon.
  10. Good Lord Teresa, what a beast that will be! Fab-u-lus. And Big Block is an overused term, there is only one kind of Big Block........and it's got a Bow Tie on it. :burnout::burnout::burnout::burnout::burnout::burnout:
  11. You're close, but I fixed it above for ya.
  12. This was a cool day, lots of fun mixed with the Junkman's know-how. He tackled some scratches with wet sanding, not something I think another companies representative would attempt, so AJ is "the man" for sure. Those type things I can see is what separates Adams from other companies. Real knowledge and real customer service. I really look forward to seeing AJ or maybe catching Adam at another clinic, I'll even travel to Bowling Green, Ky. for Vettes or something like that, just fun stuff. Thanks again AJ. (Although, I'll know to carry plenty of cash, got to feed that beast!")
  13. I think that last pic of the Junkman with a big smile was when someone mentioned "24 ounce steak".
  14. Boy, this was a great time, that Junkman has tons of knowledge and puts on a really informative clinic. He's also just a fun guy. And a big thank you to Dan for setting this up and using his firehouse location.
  15. After downing a 24 ounce steak, on the way out he was eyeing up dessert....he couldn't choose between a 10 lb. slab of cake or that 105 lb. blonde waitress.
  16. Hang on Junkman, the Vettes coming out rain or shine, no rain sticks to it at 190 mph anyway. Don't worry, we're gonna pump you full of beer & steak.
  17. O/k, let's get some updates on this. Since the Junkman came all this way, even if it's raining all day, I can drive my Avalanche there and we can still fill the Junkman full of beer & steak.
  18. O/k, good news and congrats. Now, do me one favor.......RIDE SAFE and watch for cagers turing left in front of you.
  19. Yes, a radical idea on painting, but maybe at least redo the silver paint for a smoother finish as the dry / gritty finish just stains easy. And by stains I mean my rotors, they drive me nuts. I tell you the truth, I wash the wheels / rotors with GWC, flush with tons of water until the vanes of the rotors is draining basically clean water. I pull the car in the garage and then have to sop up brown / black puddles at the bottom of the wheels, even sop up the rotors with paper towles. I let it dry overnight, then go for a ride. Result?, the wheels inside base is covered with sluge & stains. Like you poured maple syrup on the rotor vanes and had it sling crap all over the wheels. Am I the only new Vette owner with this problem? The inside of the rotors / suspension pieces at the inside wheel is grease free, still clean as it's a new car.
  20. No problem VetteGirl, you got a big block a$$smackin Vette, nuff said.
  21. Well, not really, but what about this thought. The wheel surface behind the chrome spokes is a flat light gray / silver paint, a dry gritty finish, dirt sticks easy, hard to get real clean, even with GWC. So, as my car is Cyber Gray Metallic I am thinking of having a body shop paint the painted wheel area the body color, then put a really good clear coat over the new paint. Also, since my rotor vanes still drip rusty crap after washing , I am thinking of having the rotors zinc plated, then having the "hat" area of the rotor also painted the body color / clear coat. Not sure if heat will mess up the hat area paint. This will make cleaning the entire wheel easier, maybe dilute the GWC to not hurt the clear coat. So, any thoughts as how this might look?
  22. Hey Guys it was really good to meet you, and I know you were on the run to get your cars to the lanes. Those were good runs for your first time out. Just getting up there and cutting a good light is the first thing to get right and you guys looked good on that. It is not easy to get street tires hooked up with the big time torque those cars have. Drag radials aired down, a better 60' time, some pratice, and that Viper and SRT8 will be in the 11's and 12's. Plus, those 2 black beauties look killer. I expect tp be at the detail clinic this Sat. and looking forward to seeing you guys and everyone else.
