  1. 2 smells I love in a car. that new car smell the day you pick it up, and leather conditioner. Give me some H20 GG scent or leather conditioner in something i can spritz somewhere under the seat every now and then. Honestly, after detailing my car and it sitting outside while I did my wife's car. When I openeed the door, oh my. The smells It was nice. Kind of like buying a new car.
  2. I did a Toyota Camry and Highlander with about 2-3oz of HGG.
  3. So what do you out in you resovoirs instead of rain-x? I've been kicking this around. The only thing I can think of is some diluted glass cleaner. I must admit though, since HGG my car, I have barely touched my washer fluid clicker.
  4. Got a way to post this for all to enjoy?
  5. I'll be honest... I'd order 1 or 2.... You guys make it easy to take my money most of the time
  6. Well, wait and see whats in there first. I was you just a few weeks ago... The daily driver kit is a GREAT start. Learn from my mistakes though, and don't try and wash too hot of car, and sometimes less is more on the detail spray. The first thing I would start with is a good wash and clay as per the daily driver detail kit and see where you're at. I went ahead and did an H2O Gloss & Guard because I l know its going to be a few months before I could do any correction. If you can swing it a few extra towels will go a long way, especially a great white drying towel for your maintenance washes. A gallon of detail spray as well. What are your interiors like? i started with the Adam's Perfect Interior Kit and added the Leather and Interior Cleaner since I had some stuff that needed cleaning before I could condition it. Probably going to want add a cockpit brush, some in&out, and maybe a lug nut brush for those tight squeeze areas.
  7. I gave each of my double softs a squirt of APC on both sides, rubbed them together to loose everything up, threw all my microfiber in our front load HE with some All Clear on with Warm water, extra rinse. They came out as bright as they were when I opened my box.
  8. So after 1 daily driver detail I burned through about 8oz of Detail Spray. That tells me two things. 1) I washed too hot of a car, at the wrong time of the day. 2) I used too much while claying because of number 1. So before I throw another 16oz in the shopping cart before tackling my wife's SUV I'm asking myself, when does it make sense to just order 1 gallon instead of lots of 16oz? Especially with things like the car shampoo, rinseless wash, etc. Not doing any other work right now except for my own two cars. I was amazed at how little HGG I used on my car!
  9. I wanted an SS so bad. Almost pulled the trigger on a SIM 6A, no roof, w/ spare. Just couldnt justify it as a daily driver. The wife said if we were looking for a great family weekend only car, yeah, no problem. We're just not there in our lives.... yet.
  10. So flip a coin and either side is a win... Got it. The price of the PC is just hard to ignore though... specially for someone just getting started.
  11. How does everyone care for their red applicators that they use with the leather conditioner. I have a phobia about storing it after use without cleaning it or removing any remaining product.
  12. I haven't even gotten my first order from Adam's and I'm already looking at my wifes car and seeing where a polisher would go a long way. My car is fresh from the dealer and hasnt seen an auto wash unless they used one at the dealer... But my wifes car I'm afraid before I found the light has seen its fair share of auto washes, and now that I know what I am looking for, it shows. I've been watching a lot (ok all..) of the polisher videos and still undecided on what a good first effective polisher is. I've narrowed it down to the Cyclo or the Rupes Bigfoot 15. Is it safe to say that for a first polisher, either one is a safe bet? The stories of the PorterCable shaking people into near carpal tunnel have pretty much told me that "value" DA polishers are off of the list. I'm typically one of the "if I'm going to do it, lets do it right" mindset kind of guys. I only intend to use said polisher on my own cars however, since I know myself, know that I'll probably hit up some friends and family for some side cash on the weekends. For the Daily Drivers (everything from Toyotas to my moms SRX) will the Cyclo always be enough? OR is the Bigfoot 15 a safer bet?
  13. I'm curious what amazon hot is in New Jersey? FYI - I plan on doing my car Friday (Just a wash and H20 GG because I've only had the car for 2 weeks and its still beading from the factory...) but on Saturday... The clay bar and my wife's Highlander have a date! I don't have a polisher yet, so I'm debating on just HGG'ing her car even though I just ordered paint sealant, or do I really want to tackle doing an SUV by hand.... The highlander has been through auto washes in it's first year of life and I fully intend on acquiring a polisher to do a paint correction on it (maybe for Christmas...) and doing the paint sealer when I have a polisher.
  14. Just curious how long it took to do the full PC?
  15. Sometimes just changing the in-cabin air filter if one exists can go a long way to.
  16. Would all purpose cleaner be too aggressive to clean interior door panels prior to using detailer or conditioner?
  17. I appreciate this community so much! I've been apart of many other communities who haven't been so welcoming of their newcomers. My vehicles have never had this kind of treatment so an initial clay bar will be almost required. The Camry has never seen a carwash, the highlander on there other hand....... My next magic trick (aka trying to sneak under the wife's radar) will be getting a polisher and doing paint correction on the Highlander...
  18. thanks for being patient with the newbie here. If I follow the daily driver video steps 1) Rinse 2) Wash 3) Detail + Clay 4) Dry w/ Double Soft?? 5)Liquid Paint Sealer 'Maintenance' Washes would be 1) Rinse 2) Wash 3) Detail + Clay 4) Rinse 5) H2O G&G
  19. First post about Toyota daily driver's and the Detailer In Chief replies... yeah, NOW i understand why EVERYONE raves about Adam's products and support! Will have to look into the sealer on my next order. Million dollar question now is it best to return the buttery wax when I get it. modify my order, or ok to use on a daily driver?
  20. Yeah.. It'll be the highlander first... My wife only agreed to 200.00 in detailing products if hers were first... though she didn't distinguish interior or exterior The Camry is my daily driver and has alcantara seat inserts w/ leather bolster. Looking forward to maintaining that for 3 years.
  21. Just ordered daily driver kit, interior complete, and I thought what the heck why not the buttery wax. I have a 2015 Toyota Highlander and 2015 Toyota Camry XSE that are both daily drivers but I like for them to look good, and because my wife and I spend so much time commuting, our interiors to be immaculate. I've never spent this kind of money and soon to be time maintaining our vehicles, but I'm looking forward to turning this into a hobby. My questions is the buttery wax overkill for daily driver? If not, at what point would I apply it, after the H2O sealer? Before the H20 sealer? or not at all?
