    From the album: stuff

  2. I am sure another one is in my future
  3. I agree with the Chemical guys comment. pricing on some products looks enticing, and I actually tried a couple products, but seriously, why 5 different all purpose cleaners, 10 car washes, 10 tire and trim dressings, it is very confusing.
  4. Never really cared about car maintenance until I put an order in for a 2016 Black Toyota Tacoma. Started reading the tacomaworld forum and saw mention of Adams products. Checked out the online store and watched a ton of videos. Thought they sounded great so put in an order for the daily driver kit. loved the products so have since ordered like 4 more times and have a stocked shelf now. Should be getting the truck before Christmas so ill be ready to keep it looking great. I love the customer service and the forum here. Some of the products are a bit expensive comparatively but the support you can get from this forum, the store live chat or phone service is worth it to me. Thanks Adams Polishes for some great products and a nice small town business feel, even from 1500 Miles away.
  5. have a cockpit brush but was looking for other options to keep the cockpit brush in good shape for seats and dash cleaning. I do like the cockpit brush and paired with the CUC it worked awesome on my 10 year old daily driver seats.
  6. depends where you live and if it was a state, county or local muni doing the striping. It could be a water based paint, it could be epoxy based. Thermoplastic isn't sprayed from a long line truck like the OP was most likely behind at least not here in WI. Not sure if the paint type would change the suggestions for removal but thought I would throw that out there.
  7. I like the looks of that. looks like it would be nice for both carpets and rubber floor mats.
  8. What is everyone using for a carpet brush? Are you using the cockpit brush or perhaps another "Non Adams" brush. Not sure if I want to be using the nicer cockpit brush to scrub dirty carpets or carpeted floor mats. Thanks for any opinions.
  9. Nice. I have one stubborn headlight on my wifes car. I used a 3m headlight restore kit on it with meguiars plastix polish but now that I have the Paint correcting polish I would like to give it another go with that. thanks for the tip.
  10. I was wondering if I would be able to use the 4" pads on my drill in the following manner to restore my headlights. Orange pad with Paint correcting polish Orange pad with Revive. reason I ask is, the 4" only come in 2 packs and I would like to not buy 2 white and 2 orange. and I also do not have any Paint finishing polish, and don't want to drop $30 on it just for headlights as I don't machine polish my vehicles at this time (perhaps someday I will get into machines but not yet). Any advice or problems with this method?
  11. I like that, no more bending to dip your wash mitt.
  12. Agreed I like the 16oz size and the black sprayers. I've been searching for 16 oz hope bottles that the black sprayers would fit
  13. not worried about filter costs per say, as either way Id be running the same amount of water through the hose either hot or filtered cold. I have the ability to route my outside cold bibs through the filter, perhaps that would be the best way when doing cold weather washing. PS. these cold weather washes would be of the rinseless variety most likely as I don't want to battle frozen garage floor or driveway if I don't have too. my garage is attached but when the temps really dip it freezes as it is not yet insulated or heated.
  14. interesting. the carabineers I use for my bowhunting harness are dropped all the time. maybe I should be more careful with them. Thanks for the info guys. I am an engineer so by default I am always overthinking/overanalyzing everything. Glad I don't have to go out and but a whole bunch of bottles, as I really like the shape/size/feel of the 16oz adams bottles and I really like the sprayer heads.
  15. Bringing this back. After much searching on the site, it appears the only products that you really need to watch out for in the PET bottles is the APC, MFBR, and the LIC. Is this correct? What about the DWC? or Glass cleaner? Carpet and upholstery? I am a 1 vehicle weekend warrior and don't see myself flying through these products, but also don't want to pour out a 16oz bottle into a gallon jug each time to ensure I don't get any cracked bottles. I would assume the PET bottles are ok for Detail Spray, shampoo and wash products as well as the lotion type products. Thanks for any additional advice, and as always, great products and service.
  16. Thinks Jason for the comments. I will be trying the 1Z this upcoming winter as an additive to my antifreeze washer fluid. I would go with the 1Z antifreeze, however you need like 2.5:1 product:water. That would add up price wise in a hurry.
  17. Bringing this back. Have you continued using the 1Z in your washer fluid and if so how do you like it? obviously not a good option during winter months here in NE WI but perhaps would be nice for summer.
  18. I have a hot water hose bib in my garage. I have been using hot water to wash and rinse because we have heavy iron in our water and the hot water is filtered and the cold is not. Any reason I shouldn't be using hot water for wash and rinse?
  19. Thanks for the reply Jason. I assumed as much but wasn't sure if anyone else had any experience.
  20. I have the Adams black microfiber applicator sponges and use for glass sealant. I have seen applicator sponges in waffle weave and am wondering what would be the difference or advantage/disadvantage to using one or the other. Or what would be the best application to use each? Anyone ever used a waffle weave applicator sponge?
  21. I was thinking of taking a red heck script and cutting the handle off to make a thin applicator I like that the heck script applicators have the glue line that keeps the product in the top of the applicator
  22. When applying and into your dressing how effective with the red hex grip applicator be instead of using the round red applicators
  23. I like my ridgid well enough It has a detachable leaf blower which works well. Kind of a poor mans master blaster without the warm air and I can use it to clean my driveway
