  1. Welcome, Joe! That's a nice ride, can't wait to see it all shined up!
  2. Yes it did! 12ga 3" #2 shell from just about 10 feet away. It's healing so much better than I imagined it would!
  3. Nearly 3 months has passed now since I was on the receiving end of a hunting accident. I'm thoroughly impressed with how well and how quickly the wound site has healed and how much smaller it is now than it was just a couple months ago. Below are a couple pictures of it now; it was, conservatively, about 33% larger. The second picture kind of shows how much material is still missing, but there wasn't anything left on top of the muscle tissue after my first surgery.
  4. Okay, so Chris uses the same method as I did, that makes me feel a little better!
  5. Great write up! My grille has a lot of features and your tips and tricks will definitely help in cleaning it!
  6. At the end of a 15 hour work day...
  7. Here are some pictures I have just taken with my phone but they give an idea of the kinds of locations I like to use when I come across them (all are just iPhone pics... Some are pretty old): Ma & Pa's Country Cafe - an old restaurant that can only really be seen behind the vegetation during the winter months An old bridge on historic Route 66 - Before i knew which way to turn the wheels during a photo Current Project Site on Fort Hood Taking some backroads home from a car show one day, a friend and I stumbled across this really cool old compound of brick buildings that it looked like someone had started to remodel at some point. We looked around and saw nobody around and decided to take the gate off its hinges to get a quick photoshoot of my buddy's truck because he had no pictures of it that were decent. well the quick shoot turned into a pretty long ordeal as we explored around the building and found a lot of cool historical items (one of the buildings housed an old covered wagon!). just as we were about to leave the property an older gentleman caught us trespassing (which I don't recommend doing!) on his land and pulled up. He thought that we were trying to steal his old bricks from the building but after apologizing for being there and explaining why we were actually there, he sat and talked to us for a couple of hours and showed us all over the piece of land. Come to find out, we had stumbled across the second ever Oklahoma Natural Gas processing plant!
  8. Joe, Thanks for the great information! I definitely want something that will be able to provide some quality images to set them apart from what I can do with my phone. As far as the questions you posed: I am looking to limit myself to only about $200 for the time being. if I decide after a little hands-on experience that I want to pursue it further, I will then purchase better equipment, I just don't want to sink myself into something that I am not yet sure I will excel with or even be interested in enough to justify the expenditure. I am fairly serious about wanting good pictures but not so much so that I am willing to expand my budget at this time. I will be taking the photos in all sorts of locations; indoor, outdoor, midday, low light, etc so I need something fairly versatile that will be decent in a variety of conditions. I want something small enough that it is easy enough to take with me quite a bit as many of my pictures are spontaneous when I come across a cool location and happen to have a clean truck. size is a concern to a point. I do not need something that will fit in my pocket but I do want something that can fit in my center console or under the back seat of my truck. I would very much prefer to keep it to a single lens for the time being. I will be willing to buy a camera and multiple lenses in the future if I find it to be something I want to pursue further. I will play with/practice with manual settings as I learn but do not want to rely primarily on their use at this time. I would love if you used my photos and that will motivate me to take some very good shots! I will eventually get around to sending you some when I am confident that the pictures are of good enough quality. I will contact you at some time to see what kinds of pictures you may be looking for! It looks like those links have some good quality information, I will definitely look through them later today when I have a little more time. Thank you, James
  9. Incredible job getting it all ready for the spring! She looks great!
  10. Welcome! You've definitely come to the right place for products and knowledge on keeping that Shelby looking as great as the day you bought her!
  11. It is not nescessary to wash the car after claying and before applying protection but I also wash mine again after claying to remove any residue and give me a very clean surface prior to applying my last step products. It's just a preference!
  12. Definitely! It looks so much better than it did before I started using Adam's
  13. I'll look into that. I still want something decent but without crazy features and interchangeable parts and that. Just a good P&S lol.
  14. Very nice! Post some pics when you get it!
  15. I'm a groomsman in a wedding this weekend.... Hopefully I'll be able to stop on Sunday on my way by as I head back to Fort Hood.
  16. Some filthy jobsite beading but I'm impressed with how well the H2O Guard & Gloss on top of Liquid Paint Sealant and Super VRT sheds the dirt and water and protects my paint.
  17. Chuy's is really good, my favorite is the Southwestern Enchiladas. Congrats on finding a good truck; be sure to post pictures if you buy it!
  18. Thanks! What kind of truck are you looking at buying? Bricktown Brewery is good. Also, Andolini's in Broken Arrow has great pizza. There aren't really any authentic Mexican places around here but Los Cabos is good and Chuy's has good Tex Mex
  19. I don't even know anyone else that owns a camera that doesn't make calls.. I've been researching some and honestly, I'm a little confused and overwhelmed.... I am going to see if I can find a place to get my hands on a few but at this point I will likely just buy something that is point and shoot and will give me better pictures than my phone.
  20. I'm from Sapulpa which is just outside Tulsa, what kind of food do you like?
  21. Awesome! I'll check those out when I get back to the hotel, thanks for the information!
  22. Yeah, he disassembled these and painted them to match the truck but left the chrome reflector bowl. He has a set of quads that he is retrofitting with projectors right now, just trying to nail down a couple custom details before he finishes them up.
  23. I'll have to look up what some of that means. I want to learn a little and just don't know where to start as far as a platform. i'm keeping myself to about a $200 budget for the camera and necessities for now just to avoid spending a lot on something I may just not be good at. I probably just need to sit down and research about the different styles of cameras and what some of their capabilities are.
