  1. You used VRT on the fiberglass and aluminum parts? I was thinking of waxing the panels and aluminum pieces (then maintaining with H20 G&G) and spraying with In and Out spray for the rubber.
  2. I've read on a few posts about people keeping paste wax like Americana in the fridge. Is this the preferred way to store it? Never heard of that before reading it here.
  3. Anyone have one of the the BAK Industries toneau covers on their truck? I have the BAK Flip I think. It's fiberglass, not the aluminum ones. Since its black and a large flat surface dust and especially pollen shows up on very easy. I was wondering how to protect it. It has a textured surface, fiberglass panels, aluminum parts as well, and rubber. Wax, sealant or just clean real good and use H20 Guard and Gloss? Thanks,
  4. Love the scenery, truck looks good too.
  5. I just rec'd some Americana wax as as well and can't wait to try it this weekend, although we have rain forecasted. I have seen a few mentions of ppl keeping it in the fridge. What is the purpose of doing so?
  6. Welcome. From South Louisiana here too.
  7. Anyone use these towels? How are they? Since they are so cheap on the site I was thinking of ordering some to use on door jambs, wheels. You can get 2 for less than $8.
  8. Same here - I had some feedback and sent an email. Adam read and responded himself and addressed the issue. It's hard to find great customer service like this anywhere. People can debate whether one line of car products is better than another but what really separates companies apart and keeps customers coming back is great service. I switched from Zaino and plan on staying. No issue with Zaino products but love Adam's customer focus and i love the forum as a resource. Thanks,
  9. What video might that be? On the Adam's site? Don't' recall seeing that one.
  10. other than wheel wells and engine bay what are you using all purpose cleaner on? just bought a gallon plus the free 16oz. seems like it will last forever on just wheel wells and engine bay once or twice a year.
  11. it looks like the iron and the towel got it all out. i'll see what it looks like in the morning but i think i got it all. thanks for the tips.
  12. Thanks Dan, that is exactly the guidance I was looking for. Since I just applied my paint sealant I'll wait to order my Patriot or Americana Wax. Hopefully before then we will have a mystery box and I'll be lucky enough to get some in mine.
  13. started with the ice - it only gets off the easy stuff sitting on top the carpet. i left a bag of ice on it for 45 mins. what's left is really buried ans stuck in the fibers of the carpet.
  14. Thanks, should the towel be dry or damp?
  15. Thanks. So would I apply the wax a few times a year as normal? What about reapplying the sealant over it all?
  16. Duh! Thanks. Shows you how much I use one of those.
  17. I'm relatively new to Adam's products - used my products for the first time this weekend. I decided to go with paint sealant since my truck stays parked outside in the Texas sun and is driven every day. Now wondering if I should have gone with the paste wax after hearing how well it shines from everyone. At worst I would just have to wax more often since it may not be as durable as the paint sealant. Think there is a big enough shine difference between paint sealant and the paste waxes (Americana or Patriot) on a silver truck to jsutif switching? Or can Americana and sealant be layered or would there be no visual benefit?
  18. Thinking of a way to generate steam in my driveway escapes me at the moment.
  19. Then how do you get the peanut butter out?
  20. Any tips on removing gum from carpet? Carpet is black and gum in light colored so it looks terrible right now. I tried the ice trick - left a bag of ice on the gum for about 45 mins. it got the easy to remove stuff off but there is still alot of gum left deep in the carpet threads.
  21. I'm new too and can't wait for the next mystery box offer even though I've already spent about $300.00 on the products I thought I would need/want.
  22. Just ordered the red hex applicator pad and paint sealant. Should I wash it after each application and if so, how? Throw it in the wash with the microfiber towels? Thanks
  23. North Dallas area here. I have a new 2016 Sierra SLT Z71 4x4 that I will be using my Adam's products on. I have used Zaino for years but decided to switch to Adams on my new truck. Just got everything in and plan to clay and protect next weekend.
