Hello everyone, I have’nt been here a while. I just recently did a 1 step polish and applied paint sealant and americana wax on my car still have’nt tried ceramic coating too scared lol! What kind of maintenance can I do to keep it protected and glossy? I used to do HGG after 2 months car is always garaged even at work. Can I use the ceramic boost, CS3 or any of the graphene boost or graphene line of products. I have the graphene detail spray thats the only one I’ve tried. Thanks!

When using the microfiber pad with PCP I will use the brush after every panel and make sure all those strands are back up. That helped a lot when i could not get some of the swirls out. And I was using the cyclo which is slower than the griots I believe and still manage to get them out. And i put different kinds of pressure on each panel some are not bad attach pic is the worst place a lil bit more pressure but made sure it is still oscillating.

You can skip the compound/polish. Thats personal preference but if you have a lot of swirl marks and you're already doing clay and laying down sealant if it was me I would do the polish and get rid of the swirls might as well go all in. Then you can put some brilliant glaze after the sealant then Americana. I guarantee you! You will see a whole new shine in your vehicle!

I use APC then rinse them until clear water comes through the applicators and just leave them under the sun to dry.

He was only going to give it a wash. I arrived and decided to give it a little Adams treatment and after 4 hours. He said it was totally worth it and will be purchasing Adams products from now on.

Did a quick detail on my brothers truck: Wash Clay Polish with MF and PCP Polish with white foam and PFP Apply Brilliant Glaze LPS Buttery wax = AMAZING

I spray once or twice on one window and if the towel gets damped and starts leaving streaks I switch to a new one.

LPS before Buttery. You might want to clay it first as well. When i bought my jeep didn't think it needed to be clayed but when I did the baggie test the surface was pretty rough.

So if the towel turns black proceed with metal polish 1? If it doesn't use LPS/h20 is that right? The inner barrel is covered with brake dust that's why I want to use the wheel cleaner. And you could use LPS on the inside barrels as well right?

Do i need the metal polish 1&2 for the lip?

And I want to clean the inside barrel as well. It looks like polished aluminum not sure though.

How would you go about detailing this wheels? Would the wheel cleaner work? What should I use to bring out the shine on the lip and protect the wheel?

I think being park outside causes it to be rough. I did my ride couple months ago and it is still slick but my ride is always garaged. But my friends ride which i did a month ago is already rough to the touch after two weeks but he's parked outside with all the contaminants and it's being baked under the sun but after washing and h20 the slick comes back.

So is this a Iron and tar remover? My process before was car shampoo with apc to strip waxes and sealants then Iron remover then tar remover. I then proceed to claying the vehicle. If this can be a strip wash and a Iron/tar remover this would be a game changer for me as it would save me a couple of steps.

Did you do one panel at a time? And for my experience I just used a little of the pcp with this product less is more. If it is getting hard to take out put some brilliant glaze on top and it should wipe away easily.

Just ordered my Americana kit. Planning on using it as follows correct me if I'm wrong with this process. Polish with PFP with white foam Apply LPS wait for 20mins. then wipe off Apply Brilliant Glaze after all panels covered then wipe off Apply Americana wait for 20-30 mins. then wipe off Apply 2nd coating wait for 20mins. then wipe off

^^This!!! Did this as well. H20 on windows cleaned glass with glass cleaner then applied glass sealant then sprayed glass cleaner again to wipe off sealant... Result a lot of streaking on my windshield.

Thanks fellas!!! Still got to work on my technique. Polishing alone took me 5hrs. To do... but in the end it was all worth it! I need to get myself a rolling utility cart I keep walking back to my garage table to put down the Cyclo didn't want to put it on the floor don't want it to get scratched lol!!!

Just recently purchased a Cyclo with one of the forum members (Big thanks to Mariner) and man is this machine AMAZING!!! -Clean wheels and tires with wheel cleaner and tire and rubber cleaner for tires. -Engine bay wash with APC -Started off with a wash. Adams car shampoo and APC about 4-5 squirts in 2gal of water for a strip wash. -Blow dry -Decon'd with an Clay alternative using the Cyclo. -Rinse -Apply VRT on all rubber trim NOW THE BIG EVENT!!! -2 step correction using Microfiber pad with PCP then White foam with PFP. -tried to get by just using the orange foam but my buddy was like now you can see the scratches easily coz its shiny!!! Using the MF pad eliminated all the swirls marks and light scratches. The difference was night and day. Even a little pressure on the Cyclo made a difference. -Apply LPS let it cure for 20mins. Wipe off -Apply Buttery wax let it sat for 20mins.bthen wipe off. WOW!!!! I was impressed didn't think I would be able to eliminate swirl marks!!! And this was a first time to use a machine polisher.

So this sounds like a lot of work... So I've decided to practice on my cousin's 2004 C230 thinking it will be easier. Well technically it is easier compared to the pics above but man the clear coat on an MB is tough!!! I used a MF pad about 4-5 passes then 2 passes of the PFP. I've only done a test panel and I've accomplished taking the swirls out completely but there are still some scratches. Any tips on how to take those out? Maybe more passes on the MF or use orange foam after MF? Or add pressure when doing passes? Appreciate all the help guys!!! Oh btw these car is covered with swirls all through out the car. SMH!!! Oh and really happy on how the engine bay turned out

I just got a cyclo with one of the forum members and im thinking about doing the 2 step correction on this car... But it looks like there is clear coat failure already. Any tips? Do you guys think this is clear coat failure? If it is what's the worst that could happen if i still go ahead and polish it? Besides a BIG waste of my time.
