Nice SS. Does a 6.0 364 count as a big block?
i dont think so. i guess if you want you can call anything with big Displacement a "big-block". the Big-Block name was givin to the motor from the Company i guess.
-
4.6 do you mean 6.4 for your truck. Or do you 7.4 for the 454.
yea what the.... i dont think diesels are considered big-blocks just because its a diesel block. gassers are the only ones considered big-blocks. 7.4L of FURY!

It depends on which way you are working the polisher. In my "slow cut" videos, I was letting the polisher do all the work. In the videos where I was doing most of the work, I was applying a lot of pressure and working SHR at a speed of 6. It also depends on how hard the clear coat is. I like to always start with SHR at a speed of 5 using 9-14 pounds of pressure. This allows both the polisher and I to work evenly. I don't get tired as easy and the polisher doesn't get as hot. It's a nice trade off and a good place to start.
The only way you are going to get a PC to do any work on a setting of three with SHR is to use absolutely no pressure at all. Any other way is a waste of time.
With FMP, you should go no faster than 5, light pressure. The reason for using FMP is to clean up the damage that the orange pad and SHR do in the first place. This damage is hard to see on most colors (next to impossible to see on white), but very evident on black. FMP not only cleans up this damage but adds depth back to the color once applied. Revive is a step after FMP and on a black car, I will sometimes follow FMP with Revive.
alright! thanks for the advice. im gonna watch some of your videos again to freshen my mind on how to correctly do this too!

make sure you seal them really good! my lights got condensation in them, i let them dry and sealed them up. apparently i didnt get all the water out, so now i have condensation in there i cant get out!!

You'll get better looking results if you follow SHR with FMP. Give it a try and yes, the flash never lies.
what speeds should i be using for SHR and Polishing. I was working the SHR at 5 for a little while, then kicked it down to 3 to work it in better. For the Polish I used speed setting 6 most of the time. should i be going slower? and how much better will FMP work than Revive?

Looks good, how is the waxing going for you?
i havnt gotten a chance to do much waxing yet, just SHR and Revive with my orange pad and white pad

Haha I would love to dump 20k into the motor but just no go. I've found that you get the most bang for your buck from an intake/exhaust/tune. I might throw some W/M and a Spearco intercooler in there too but we'll see.
sounds like u know whats easiest. now-a-days guys a running awesome numbers with very few modificatons its crazy!

yeah I was, I wast with trailvoy.com not really a fan of that site
post some pics! i wanna see your TBSS!
-
welcome matt! im guessing you were at the ATN's in Carlisle? there was a big tent from TrailVoy.com with quite a few TBSS's!

Well figuring the DPF is an emissions device that makes tampering with it a federal crime. I would never ever think of taking it off and adding another 300 horsepower to my truck
common, thats no fun!!
-
Well now that would be illegal and void my warranty
im not sure how the emmisions evaluations are over there, but all of my friends and family have exhausts on their trucks. they just get inspected with stock exhaust.
-
Do you work at a Ford Dealer? Just curious, I want to put a stack on my truck but...the horses don't enjoy smoke on 200+ mile trips.
yeah, im a Ford/Lincon/Mercury Technician. why doncha run a straight pipe?
-
looks AWESOME Jesse, it was nice meeting you today! what a coincidence!!! lolol
-
I haven't heard about too many people having any injector problems with them?
lol im just messing with ya, ive only replaced a few under warranty. they seem to be pretty solid injectors tho
-
I like my Piezo injectors
ive replaced too many of those to tell you that they are any good

12 Valves are nice, all mechanical!! Looks great!
atleats someone knows a little about the 12-Valve!
-
I got a bunch of people who said they are coming im will be really dissappointed if we dont get at least 20-25 cars there minimum
does it really matter how many cars are there? i doubt the Junkman will be able to actually look at everyones car...
