Then is you want to haul something that is big and is over the cap you haft to take it off.
if you get a cap that is as tall as your roof, you can pretty much fit anything but an ATV or a Dirtbike in there. so you want some kind of easy-on-easy-off locking tonneau?
-
They are but we wanted something that you could lock. I was thinking about getting a new thing they have out it is there truxedomate wich is like a tool box that goes in the bed i thought it was pretty cool.
why dont you just get a fiberglass cap?
-
Thanks nick i think my dad is going to go with a fold a cover g4
truxedo tonneau covers are also very good!

Yes VRT has SPF 35 and will work to condition leather in a pinch.
hmm i didnt know that, i wish i knew that when I was detailing this gorgeous Lincoln LS today!
-
I'd put a little VRT on there
will it do anything?
-
You should keep an eye on the daily specials, do you have any VRT ?
When cleaning leather it is always a good idea to follow up with a conditioner.
yep ive got a bottle of VRT, 2 bottles of SHR, 2 bottles of Revive, and 2 bottles of BW. and the Sample Bottles

I was waiting for the matches :help:
Put some conditioner on it to at least keep it from drying and cracking, well, whatever is left of it :o:o

its quite a funny story.
Well I'm at work and my boss asked me if I could get some pen ink out of his leather seat in his Honda Accord. So I told him i have just the stuff that will get it out. The next day I brought some of my Adams Vinyl/Leather Cleaner and some APC to see what I could do. I spray some APC on it and start rubbing and it starts coming right out! I showed my boss how well the Adam's products worked and he was VERY impressed  So im working on it, and this old guy that works with us at the shop comes over to see what I was doing. I told him what I was doing and he was just like "oh, alright". He comes back 5 minutes later with a dirty shop rag and LIGHTER FLUID. He starts telling me how he was a Leather Tanner in Germany and how this works so well. He pushes me out of the way and starts going at it. He sprays some lighter fluid on the rag and starts rubbing. I was impressed with how well it worked from a few feet away. As he starts rubbing hes going "oh its coming right out". I then take a look at it, HE WORE THE LEATHER CLEAN OFF THE SEAT. I told my boss what happened, the old guy doesnt work with us anymore. but now my boss wants me to detail his whole car! There's another one for Adam's Polishes. goes to show, the new guys knows more than the old-timer.

There is definatly plenty of money in detailing if people are willing to pay the money. I was going to do what frank said and go to dealerships but I started that fleet of volvos. Any idea on what I should charge for a volvo sleepercab? To be honest I bet each coat takes me an entire day.
charge per hour, it will benefit you more because its a big truck. and also, different waxes or polishes will take longer or quicker than others.
-
I do the same thing. Ill find myself sitting as stoplights wondering if they would want their car detailed, or how cool before/after pics would look with certian cars.
i do the same exact thing, actually today i was looking at a truck on the highway and was telling my buddys how bad of a job the person did washing it. they were just like "who cares? your retarted"

:lolsmack:
I know this has been a previous topic but I do agree that it would be a great addition to Adam's line up.
i searched and didnt come up with anything
-
I think it would be an AWESOME idea for Adam's to come out with a line of air fresheners such as the scents on some of the products and more!! what do you guys think?
-
And clinic discount prices !!!!! Plus no shipping :thumbsup:
yea? i like the sound of that!

This part confuses some people I've seen. You let the wax cure on the paint for at least 20 minutes before wiping off the residue. Then 12 hours later come back and rebuff the paint with a clean towel. There are oils in the MSW that eventually make their way to the surface after the wax as set up which you'll want to wipe off, especially before putting another coat of wax on top of it.
how the heck am i supposed to wait 12 hours and it not be dirty? dust or stuff from outside always falls on my truck.
-
Great write up Dylan !!!!!
Just one note, if you do use the MSW wait 12 hours and give it another wipe down before applying APW or BW or it
I didn't know that you had to wait 12 hrs...learn something new everyday
so apply a coat of MSW and wait 12 hours for it to "cure". and then finally wipe it off the next day probably?

clinic talk guys. common. seriously whats the date? cuz i start late august also?

the paint is in pretty good shape. minor swirls and some clearcoat scratches along the bed rails, nothing too bad. I dont have a PC, so this will be a full "by-hand" detail!
