but in my second order, i cant wait for my Adam's Essential's

Trust me. The mud finds me. I don't go looking for it like my husband thinks.
IMO once your dirty its on and all out!!! :burnout:
thats how i put it, once i get a little muddy, i just try and find the biggest deepest mud i can find!
-
Ok, so they actually are Chrome. That would explain why SHR had no affect
I doubt they will do much for you from a warranty point of view as they will say you damaged them mudding. I hope I am wrong :xfingers:
im not going to be sayin that. and for the most part i want my $$ back or something because of the pitting from the salt/sand/snow. i washed them every week and they still did this.

Jordan Gmtruckclub seems to be a nice sit so far since i have joined.
hmm i havnt even been over there. ill go check it out! thanks

Killin' it Mark... I love how some people over on GMFS are jumping your sh*t for proclaiming your love for Adams pads... just seems they can never offer any photographic evidence to show they have a better method. Rock on dude... rock on!!
i dont even bother going over to that forum anymore, alot of the guys over there love to bash everything about your car/what you do. same with Fullsizechevy.com but not as bad. Thats why i love it over here. No harsh comments and rude remarks

This place is special I know that. There may be better products out there but the class, the customer service, and the attitude of this company is amazing and unmatched by anyone I've ever seen. When my things were stolen they were right there helping me replenish. Then they checked up on me afterward to make sure I was all squared away. It blew me away. I will be a customer for life I can guarantee that.
wow, it blows me away how much Adam and his team trust their customers. I have no intentions of ever ripping off this website in any way because Adam treats his customers with such respect. Keep up the good work Adam & Team, you guys have me as a customer for the rest of my detailing career

If their pitting you won't be able to do anything with them...hope they can do something for you at Procomp
im aware i wont be able to do much about the physical pitting of the chrome. i just want the shine from the chrome back! it looks like a dull polished wheel from all the scratches!
-
Definitely time to get rid of it.
its so bad, i did my moms s-10 last night and it was leaving muddy water behind..
-
It will more than likely work just fine. There is no need to 'upgrade' to the blue clay.
eh its falling apart and sticky because of all the grime in it..
-
you know depending on how many people I could look into seeing if my volly firehouse is available we have several bays we could use it would depend on the day because we have a church meeting there and weight watchers so it would need to be like noonish
that sounds like an AWESOME idea. also good PR for the fire department!

count me in. this is a perfect area to throw a clinic

The only Meguiar's claybar I've used were the tiny ones that came with the 'quick clay kit' and they were like taffy. I used them on my wheels once and threw them out. This was over 2 years ago though, I haven't used anything but Adam's blue clay since. It's very easy to work with, picks up a ton of microscopic contaminants, and leaves the surface smooth as glass. I keep a plastic sandwich bag in my detail bag to demonstrate the need for clay to people at car shows
cool thanks. the clay i have now is a big hunk of yellow clay from mother's
-
how will this claybar perform compared to others such as mother's and mcguires. those are the only claybars ive used. what makes this claybar more significant?
-
Those look like mine used to and it seems that the clearcoat is damaged. I took mine to a wheel refinisher and just had them redone without the clear. Now the outer rim is just polished aluminum. As far as the outer rim, they basically just sanded the clearcoat off and smoothed it out. Nothing I couldn't have done myself but less work for the pros who have the right tools and experience.
I don't have any before photos but if I did, the damage would look pretty much the same as yours. Here are some photos after the refinishing. I took these after I polished a small section to show the difference made by the polish I was using.
wow, that looks great. im still waiting to get an email from Procomp to see if i can get my money back or something. they have a 3 year chrome finish warranty. and ive had them for not even a year
ps. SHR did NOTHING, am i doing something wrong with the application of it?
-
Are they chrome or polished?
chrome
-
Well if they were they probably arn't anymore after using chrome polish on them. Lets see what some of the Detailing Advisers have to say.
But I would think since you have already tried those products go ahead and try some SHR on a small spot and see what happens
ill give it a shot tomorrow, after they get a scrub with GWC
-
yep, tried turtlewax chrome polish lol didnt help a thing. ive tried various eagleone products and Zymol i think also. nothing did the trick =( i cant find out if they are clearcoated or not, is there any way to tell by looking??
-
If they are you can treat them just like paint
Just use a MF applicator with some SHR or FMP and see what you can get off
think so? ive tried using chrome polishes from other brands and they didnt seem to help at all?
-
I'm guessing they are not clear coated, correct ?
i think they are, im not exactly sure.
-
no one has any ideas? i guess its too bad to recover :(
-
No its not a Banshee. Mine is a Blaster which isn't as wide for the trails but my husband has a Banshee. Both are slightly modified for racing.
This is his DIRTY Banshee :willy:
my buddy used to let me ride a Blaster just like yours. man, was that thing a blast. So small and torquey. Love the sounds of the 2-strokes! i couldnt see the front end, so i couldnt really tell the difference. but now i definatley can. nice job cleaning! keep it up
-
lookin good! is that a banshee?
-
is there any chance of getting the life back out of this wheel? i ran these in the mud and my one wheel got scratched BAD! :help:
